In fact Thomas Jefferson said "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Your interpretation. Mine is that 2a was for a citizenry that was without a standing army comparable to that of the British to be able to address the need to defend itself against an invading force, mostly the British. But we are no longer faced with muskets. The enemy has become ourselves.

Your whole post is a contradiction - claiming I am the one wishing to incite an overthrow, and then posting the quote from Jefferson to say you would very much love to overthrow the government.

Jefferson: “Every constitution, then, and every law, naturally expires at the end of nineteen years.
I doubt that you would ever quote Jefferson here because this allows for gun reform and is a much less violent remedy for change.

Well, I was bored yesterday (3 hrs before start of NYE party) and looking at New Posts. I saw this thread pop up and I remembered I saw another thread about guns by Wat so I thought what the heck, why not jump to a snap judgment and insult him.

But he's been gentlemanly to me unlike some others, so ok, I apologized.

I guess I look like a typical bikini airhead, but I do have some political views so I might jump into the political threads once in awhile.

Apparently, some a-hole of a person came here claiming that this thread belonged to them and that it was no longer wat’s so that prompted him to actually put his name on the thread heading.
