Watermelon - male or female?

Watermelons can grow to a variety of sizes. The 1998 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records says that the largest grown weighed 262 pounds (119 kilograms). An interesting thing about a watermelon is that it can be a male or female watermelon. The gender of the fruit can be found by taking a look at the bottom side of the watermelon and looking at the ring that is in the opposite direction of the other circles. A male watermelon will have a small penny-sized ring while a female watermelon will have a larger quarter-sized ring. This is important since females are sweeter and with less seeds.

On a side note followed a herd of about 36 elk but I only had my Iphone so pics sucked. My useless Iphone, as I spent 90% of the day with no reception.Ready to get back to civilization.....and watermelon. female watermelon.

I have a few and some great pics from the top of some mountains. Will post tommorow when I get back to civilization. Saw a golden finch, named it parody.

If you look real close you can see the herd on the high plains here. They are drifting....

I counted 36, but would not have been able to see any of the calves laying down in the high grass.....If it were only hunting season
