Water conservation

This is an idea I posted a few years ago, so with the continuing news of California having water restrictions I thought I'd resurrect it.

Sister, years younger than her brother, moves in with him on the west coast. It's very convenient that he lives in the same city where she's attending school. Haven't seeing her for a few years, he of course instantly notices how much she's blossomed.

Sexual tension runs rampant in the modest two bedroom apartment. This compound with the fact that showering together is the most practical way to conserve water.

So the lead up to the shower, how's that look? Is it subtle hints (a flash of forbidden flesh, bending over, an "accidental" hand placement) or a straight up realization that the only way to help the environment is to shower together?

I imagine it starts with them discussing how they need to share a shower to save on water, but they need to set some ground rules to avoid any inappropriate situations. Like wearing bathing suits or underwear, or standing on opposite sides of the shower, or keeping their eyes closed, or whatever. Once they have their strategies ironed out, they take their shared shower confident in the fact that nothing inappropriate will ever happen.

Of course, whatever strategies they choose have to fail miserably.

I see merits to either a large "modern" shower built for two or more, with multiple geads, or a cramped tiny 30 inch job with one "flow saver" nozzle that forces bodies to bump. Very different vibe ro the decision though, plus the mechanics are trickier in the larger unit, to force them to touch.

Does he get turned on just watching her wash her hair or does he feel compelled to wash it for her?

This is a good foundation for a story. And can even work as a test scenario of what to do in case of water shortage. Here we have to talk about the financial situation of them both. Living in a small apartment doesn't mean it is cheap, esp. in California. But let's say the cash is a problem. They have rent, utilities and the options to save water are not endless. They might try investing in water-efficient showerheads or aerated shower head, trying for shorter showers, etc. They try everything but quickly realize quick showers together are the most efficient way of water preservation.

And as Carnevil9 said, being siblings, they will lay some ground rules up front. And this is the part to be creative. How open are they to each other, is it only the brother's interest piqued, or the sister is also into it. It's the summer, they probably walk around the house in very little clothing but when it comes to even bring the subject of bathing together can be both exciting and nerve wracking.

It can happen by accident as well. The brother is in the shower and the sister wakes up remembering she has classes early this morning. She jumps straight into the bathroom. She acts like it is nothing and even pushes her brother firmly away so she is underneath the water while he tries to preserve some dignity while she doesn't care. I see a lot of options and potential here.
