Biden's muppet's tell-nothing "tell-all" book says she saw nothing wrong with him.

There was nothing right with him.

Ever . . . .

When you ride in a boat and watch the shore, you might assume that the shore is moving. But when you keep your eyes closely on the boat, you can see that the boat moves. Similarly, if you examine myriad things with a confused body and mind you might suppose that your mind and nature are permanent. When you practice intimately and return to where you are, it will be clear that nothing at all has unchanging self.

~ "Actualizing the Fundamental Point" by Zen Master Dogen

Knowing what cannot be known—
what a lofty aim!
Not knowing what needs to be known—
what a terrible result!
Only when your sickness becomes sick
will your sickness disappear
The Sage’s illness has become ill!
his renunciation has been renounced
Now he is free
And every place in this world

is the place to be

~ Tao Te Ching, Verse 71

True self-respect, being very different from false pride, leads inevitably to respecting others.

My Little Totenkopf: Graham Platner, the Maine Democrat challenging Susan Collins for her Senate seat, found himself in some trouble this week because of an old tattoo. A tramp stamp? An ex’s name on his bicep? No, it was a large totenkopf on his chest, the Nazi skull symbol worn by guards at concentration camps. Platner claims that he picked the symbol at random from the tattoo parlor’s wall with his Marine buddies (I hate when that happens!) and had no idea that there were any Nazi implications. Which is funny because according to an old acquaintance of his, there was nothing random or secret about it at all and he would call it his totenkopf: “He said, ‘Oh, this is my totenkopf,’ ” the acquaintance told Jewish Insider. “He said it in a cutesy little way.” Platner, who described himself as “a communist” and an “antifa supersoldier” back in his old Reddit posting days, also apparently spent time in “a socialist paramilitary group.”

The best part is that the left has now painted itself into a corner with Nazi iconography, because they can no longer quite articulate why it’s bad, since killing Jews is neutral to admirable. Here’s a popular leftist commentator trying to explain why Platner’s Nazi symbol is bad:

“This isn’t just a Nazi tattoo, this is the symbol of the concentration camp guards, the guys who ran the death camps. The men who murdered socialists, communists, and liberals. They mass-murdered all black men in the French army. This is on par with a swastika.” (The commentator deleted it so I won’t name and shame. But isn’t it interesting?)

The news of Platner’s previously avowed communism and Nazi tattoo have only strengthened him. A poll that came out this week shows him 34 points ahead of his leading opponent in the Democratic primary. We’re getting to the point where it’s a red flag for Zoomers if you don’t have a Nazi tattoo.

My favorite thing about Platner, though, has nothing to do with any of this—it’s that he describes himself as a “working-class Mainer” but went to a $75,000-a-year boarding school. Yes, Platner went to Hotchkiss (gorgeous, fabulous). I’m also a boarding-school brat—but I’ve always identified as a debutante, a coastal elite, and a perfect 10. Mr. Platner, don’t run from your people.

ARC Rivals: 6mm ARC vs .22 ARC vs .338 ARC – Which Reigns Supreme in Your AR?

Welcome to the ARC-off showdown—where speed, precision, and stopping power collide. Whether you’re a long-range junkie, a varmint vaporizer, or a hunter chasing big game, choosing between the 6mm ARC, .22 ARC, and .338 ARC could make or break your next build. Let’s break down these Advanced Rifle Cartridges and find out which ARC wins your heart (and your upper receiver).

Quick Hit: What’s the ARC Line All About?

Hornady’s Advanced Rifle Cartridge (ARC) family is built to squeeze the most performance out of the AR platform—longer reach, tighter groups, and heavier hits, all in semi-auto form.
Now, let’s meet the contenders.

6mm ARC – The Long-Range Sweet Spot

Think: sniper vibes, but AR-sized.
  • Platform: AR-15
  • Bullet: 6mm (.243)
  • Role: Precision, mid-to-long range hunting, DMR
  • Vibe: Hits like a .308, recoils like a kitten
  • Why It Rocks: Ballistic ninja: flat, fast, and stays supersonic past 1,000 yards
    Pairs beautifully with high-BC bullets
  • Low recoil = fast follow-ups
But Wait: Costs more than 5.56 NATO
Eats barrels faster than your standard plinker

.22 ARC – The Speed Demon

Think: .223 on a double shot of espresso.
  • Platform: AR-15
  • Bullet: .22 caliber (0.224)
  • Role: Varminting, competition, high-speed low-drag
  • Vibe: Light, fast, and flattens prairie dogs at 400 yards
  • Why It Rocks: Screaming fast (~3,300+ fps)
    Ultra-flat trajectory
  • Minimal recoil—great for all-day shooting
But Wait: Not ideal for anything bigger than coyotes
Lighter bullets mean more drift in the wind

.338 ARC – The Big-Bore Beast

Think: AR-15 with a punch that echoes.
  • Platform: AR-15
  • Bullet: .338 caliber
  • Role: Big game hunting, tactical hammer, ELR
  • Vibe: The heavyweight champ of the ARC lineup
  • Why It Rocks: Elk, bear, moose? No problem.
Big energy. Big bullets. Big respect.
  • Great for extreme long-range setups
But Wait: Packs serious recoil, heavier, pricier, and fewer rounds per mag
Ammo availability is limited for subsonic ammo and supersonic loads (for now)

And so on . . . .

If voting did any good, it wouldn't be legal.

Maybe if we outlawed it we would get a better class of voters . . . .

Oh yeah, one more unconstitutional background check suffered through.

Not needed to vote.

Nor is a civics exam.

Every time I'm perusing Youtube I'll see a video about a new wonder bullet or cartridge for Deer or Elk. I think back over the last 30 years and think about all of the Deer, Antelope, and Elk, that have fallen to a single shot from my 7mm Rem Mag, using either 160 gr or 175 gr Nosler Partition bullets and though I have other rifles and calibers, that's the one I'm going to put in the truck for big game here in Idaho or Montana.

The only reason we don't open our hearts and minds to other people is that they trigger confusion in us that we don't feel brave enough or sane enough to deal with. To the degree that we look clearly and compassionately at ourselves, we feel confident and fearless about looking into someone else's eyes.

I never understood why a person would want one of these, but here we are:

For years, FRTs have lived in legal limbo. The ATF has repeatedly changed its stance on what counts as a “machine gun,” often without changing the statute itself.

Rare Breed Triggers’ FRT-15 became the centerpiece of this fight after the ATF declared it an illegal conversion device in 2021. Rare Breed fought back, and by 2025, the DOJ dropped its appeal, officially recognizing the FRT-15 as not a machine gun under the National Firearms Act.

But that victory applied only to that one trigger and that one company. It didn’t rewrite federal law. Any design outside that settlement — 3D-printed or not — remains in dangerous legal territory.

Noir warns that one misunderstood part can turn a day at the range into a federal investigation. “Know exactly what you’re installing,” he says. “Don’t assume someone else’s court win protects you.”

Rare Breed’s win didn’t set a national precedent. It carved out an exception. The ATF can still prosecute others for nearly identical parts. That’s the reality of how murky firearm regulation has become — and why awareness matters more than ever.

First 8 and a half minutes:

Left-leaning former CNN anchor Don Lemon just made a pitch few expected to hear from him: if you’re a Black or brown American who can legally do so, go buy a gun, and learn to use it safely.

I'm wagering that we have no fucking idea whatever if we're even enforcing what laws are on the books. Like when the prohibited people fill out a 4473 and lie on it, what happens? They need to get their fiver (or more if other things are ponied onto it) and let us know that we're prosecuting this stuff. A Zero Tolerance level would be a good place to start. Then talk to me about more laws/regulations if this isn't enough.

Funny, no one wants to discuss this.

Either way, confiscating my shit won't change the crime rates in the slightest.

Glock Lineup Shake-up: Goodbye Almost Every Model, Hello V Models

You’ve probably seen the chatter: Glock has quietly pulled a bunch of models from its commercial catalog and is rolling out a new “V Models” to take their place. Glock’s discontinued list (every Gen-3/Gen-4 and some Gen-5 entries) is published on their site, and Glock will begin shipping V Model pistols in December 2025. This isn’t a rumor on a forum anymore, Glock has confirmed it and it’s a major product-line pivot.

Why The Change To The V Models?

Regulators and lawmakers have been focused on devices and modifications (so-called “Glock switches”) that can convert semi-autos into full auto. Some new state rules and laws have made manufacturers rethink parts and internal geometries. The V Models are being billed as a baseline, simplified platform with internal changes intended to reduce convertibility and align the product line with “future innovations.” Reports also say many V models will launch without MOS (optic cut) variants at first.

And so on.
