Wat’s Carbon Water-N-Stuff Thread - Concepts In Iron And Wood!!!

Don’t forget the link to his website:

Godaddy took down Wat's latest website last week.

Wat's trove of pictures of women with augmented breasts sliding lubricated gun muzzles into various orifices were deemed a violation of community standards.

For the record, that's the fourth website Wat has had taken down since Trump got elected last year.

"He truly thought things would change with Trump back in office",

I'm told his next website will be a crowd-source online tracker of Kamala Harris' location.

Someday, some way, Harris will make an appearance in Wat's native West Virginia, allowing him to scrupulously uphold his probation restrictions regarding wearing an ankle monitor that signals authorities if Wat travel out of state.......

On this day, August 30, 2004, Larry Desmedt, known as Indian Larry, died at 3:45 a.m. in Charlotte, North Carolina of injuries he suffered doing a motorcycle stunt. He was 55.

Desmedt had gone to Charlotte for the shooting of an episode of "Biker Build-Off," in which he has successfully competed with other riders of custom made motorcycles.

Desmedt fell off his motorcycle while performing before a crowd of around 8,000 people at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center as part of the Liquid Steel Classic and Custom Bike Series.

Desmedt was performing his most famous stunt, standing on the seat of the moving motorcycle, when the bike started to wobble, and he lost control.

Gone too soon . . . .

We have a saying in Tibet. "If you lose your temper and get angry, bite your knuckles." This means that if you lose your temper, do not show it to others. Rather, say to yourself, "Leave it."

~ His Holiness the Dalai Lama

It seems in every interaction there is something to learn if we can only see ourselves as students. If we can humble ourselves, and allow ourselves to see the world without our own beliefs and dogmas, then we could see so much beauty awaiting us in each moment.

~ Sukh Chugh

Of course there is no formula for success except perhaps an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings.

Saw this:

can be cruel but facts just the same. My point is, as compared to other states Minnesota’s gun laws and regulations are just fine. What’s reasonable reform? There are millions of AR-15s in the general populace, do you suggest confiscating all of them. I would suggest directing our efforts towards mental health. In big sky country an AR-15 is nothing more than a varmint rifle.

When I was younger we never had these mass school shootings, everyone had guns, even brought them to school during hunting season, something else is rotting our society and it’s not guns. The more pressure government puts on eliminating guns I assure you the more resistance the government will receive.

Wanted to say that, perhaps, we are getting the fallout from LBJ's Great Society.

Which is in some strange way like WW2 was the fallout from FDR's cure for the Great Depression.

Maybe so much Great isn't the best idea we ever had . . . .

You might want to give up on the cod philosophy.

coughing up phlegm from
too many cigarettes and a night
filled with vapid plays
that simply tell us that we
are nothing more than, at best,
greedy embeciles who look for light
in an icebox filled with
artificial cheeses and meats
and a chance to be on television.

We've killed the moon
and killed ouselves
for a flag full of stars
that won't even wink
when the dark comes down.
Oh America, my land of milk and honey
dill pickles and pregnant women in the rain
oh my love what have we done to ourselves
what magic have we buried in the backyard
with the old parts of things that never worked
to begin with and where is Hank Williams
and where is Lightnin Hopkins and where
my Billie Holiday can you sing your blues
and oh my love where has our heart gone?

Where is my heart, gasping in a ditch
like a soggy piece of soul
being washed away in a rain
beyon us now, beyond the poison
that we gave to it, the rain our friend
we betrayed by sending it
pieces of our own sad death?

Oh my love, the prairies ramble
the buffalo are gone, Leadbelly is dead
oh Woody Guthrie is dead and my love
they build another fast-food joint
on the bones of these righteous things
and oh my love I'd have you back
drinking coffee in the morning
from a hot tin cup over a fire
made with our lives
Oh my love, what can we do now
as it all sings into the mire oh...
what can we do now but lift our voices
in a final song that will hopefully
let the ages know
we cared
and in the face of death

we loved.

I suppose. It's still too motherfucking chatty for my tastes.

Pondering between a semi-auto shottie and a short AR in .300.

Or maybe bigger.

Probably .300
I'm not overly fond of semi-auto shotties. I officiate at several 3 gun matches and I've seen far to many of them fuck up while the pump guns keep running. The most common failure modes are gummed up actions (over lubrication, dirt, etc.) and/or the gas seal O-ring.

If you're buying it for casual shooting or home defense and keep it clean it'll last quite a while.

I have the AK version and the AR version. The AK one seems to act like an AK: heavy, clunky, runs like the Energizer Bunny. The AR hasn't been tried out yet.

They're both heavy, especially with the drum mags, and the mags make them a bit unwieldy anyway.

The Mossberg looks decent, depending on if I find a sale.

The one YOU'RE most effective with is the answer.

As long as the author is relating FBI stats, the avg. gun fight lasts 5 seconds with 3 rounds expended. The only way you need a large magazine is if you plan on going full on ghetto, "spray and pray."

I second the Ol’ Pump. My Win Ranger 120 is the best shooting scattergun. I inherited my uncles Browning A5 (Belgian) and it’s a beautiful gun, but I don’t enjoy shooting it as much. I’ve had one malfunction with it, but it shoots well enough. If I’m being graded? The Winchester gets pulled out of the bag.
