Wat’s Carbon Water-N-Stuff Thread - Concepts In Iron And Wood!!!

I'm just saying that amateurs with guns are useless in a firefighter at best, and that families, even if they are armed, don't stand a chance against a milita or an army.
And yes, 99% of the NRA nutters are freaking amateurs.

And yet, consistent with being the cheeky bastards that we are, we sent amateurs with guns against soldiers and won the war.

99% of the people with guns are former military.

And again you didn't read carefully what I wrote.
I don't know your family status and I don't care.
Think of the following:
Ok, you are a former specialist of SEAL Team 6. Is your wife one, too? And your children? And your parents? Can you survive a firefight while protecting your loved ones?
No, you can't.
It's one thing when there's a foreign army invading which needs its own vulnerable supply line and it's something totally different when the enemy is your neighbours.
Real life is not Hollywood.
95% of all soldiers never see a firefight. Shooting at targets at the firing range is not the same as firing at someone trained like you or even better which will kill you.

You. All. Are. Dead.

And, according to some, they're all nutters and untrained misfits.

Hey!!! Those are Wat's friends you're talking about!!!

I learned an M1 trick from an old grunt who served with one.

He had forgotten the serial number, though, but it's been 60-some years, so we gave him a break.

My oldest one is 35537 . . . .

Apparently you don't comprehend what "red state" means. Or the sheer numbers of people in the US with guns. Or the FACT that most of those people are trained military who know how to use those guns and follow orders.

There's a false attribution to Yamamoto that says that attacking the US is stupid because there's a rifle behind every blade of grass. That's a hefty deterrent to anyone invading because the losses are going to be high even if the invasion is successful.

Reagan called it Peace Through Strength. Afghani's called it "Oh fuck! What did we do?" Recently Gaza found it out the hard way too.

As for your last, I made my peace with that a long time ago. I have many brothers and sisters who also did the same. You, and those who think like you do, have no idea of the Hell you'd be walking into because my survival isn't the issue. It's making sure you don't. Foreign OR domestic.

No reflection on your friends. Or you.

But honestly, anyone who likes the M1 in this day/age of modern rifles is, maybe, a bit teched in the head.

<-- wakes up every day ready to deal with Mr. MorningStar's freshly compiled shit list and enjoys his job immensely.

Welcome to the Hotel of Eternia...
Any time of year.
It's warmer here.

Oh, we have plenty of modern ones at Chez Wat.

And I'm sure the goofs can't pronounce "teched" correctly, either.

Please send my best wishes to the boss. I'm looking forward to the BBQ . . . .

I discovered that Людмила Михайловна Павличенко wrote a book about her WW2 exploits, so I sprung for it. It arrived today and is added to the queue.
