I don't know your family status and I don't care.
Think of the following:
Ok, you are a former specialist of SEAL Team 6. Is your wife one, too? And your children? And your parents? Can you survive a firefight while protecting your loved ones?
No, you can't.
It's one thing when there's a foreign army invading which needs its own vulnerable supply line and it's something totally different when the enemy is your neighbours.
Real life is not Hollywood.
95% of all soldiers never see a firefight. Shooting at targets at the firing range is not the same as firing at someone trained like you or even better which will kill you.

Apparently you don't comprehend what "red state" means. Or the sheer numbers of people in the US with guns. Or the FACT that most of those people are trained military who know how to use those guns and follow orders.

There's a false attribution to Yamamoto that says that attacking the US is stupid because there's a rifle behind every blade of grass. That's a hefty deterrent to anyone invading because the losses are going to be high even if the invasion is successful.

As for your last, I made my peace with that a long time ago. I have many brothers and sisters who also did the same. You, and those who think like you do, have no idea of the Hell you'd be walking into because my survival isn't the issue. It's making sure you don't. Foreign OR domestic.
