The old package did look like something you would find in an antique shop.

Had I never seen either I’d probably buy the newer looking one.

Girl looks exactly the same… except she now wears a bra. Gasp

Everything is sexualised these days. In my mind, it's both good and bad. It's good, because it's given women much freedom, but bad because it's gone too far. I mean, putting boobs on a catroon logo is one thing; then there is high-heel shoes and padded bras for little girls. It's just a bit much at times! :(

Yes, the younger girl is much prettier. But in my mind, raisins don't need to be sexy, so the new image isn't going to sell them to me. I guess it all depends upon who they're marketing the new logo to - men buying snacks for their kids?

Friggin' Syd. I just caught myself singing 'Green Giant!'

The last paragraph of the article is a bit strange. I've quoted it, below. So, this cartoon lady is going to be going to the gym, to the market, and even be multilingual? What, she's not going to be a soccer mom?

Additionally, there's been talk that the new Sun-Maid girl might be given a name and featured in future advertisements doing some of the things modern women typically do, like going to the gym, shopping at the market, and speaking multiple languages, particularly languages native to countries where Sun-Maid, the world's largest producer and processor of raisins and other dried fruits, sells raisins. However, the image on all Sun-Maid product packaging will remain the same, as the new version will only be featured in product advertisements.

Oh, per the bolded section, the packages won't be changing from the old look. Just this new 21st century looking, multilingual babe that goes to the gym and shops...all while she's munchin' on raisins, no doubt.

Is there a direct competitor in the ultra competitive raisin market? What is it? Golden I think?

I mean tits or no tits how much more raisin market share can you get, it's almost like Kleenex to snot rags?

Paul Newman's Organic?? (And there is always Dole's extra juicy.)

actually the original sunmaid girl looks far more attractive to me, the new one looks fake/plastic/barbie-ish, not anything whatsoever like an actual person. plus it's very cool that the original image is actually based on an actual beautiful young girl, in her sunbonnet (which are sexy dangit!) plucking grapes. the history lover in me appreciates the story and depth there. there's no depth or story to a shiny face and big fake looking boobs.

I buy generic or house-brand grapes and wouldn't have recognized the Sun Maid broad if she walked up and offered to suck my dick. Tits or no tits. Bonnet or no bonnet.

I do like tits.

And I do like raisins. Preferably less expensive ones. ;)

But I'd recognize Keroin in her bonnet, though. Especially with a banana leaf.

Whew, I was starting to get a complex about my bonnet habit!

p.s. No banana leaves anymore. And those maple leaves are a little on the *ahem* small side.

Do you think Mr Clean and the Jolly Green Giant had a thing for each other?
This is Netzach's fantasy, clearly. ;) Doesn't make much difference to me, but they both do seem to be drawn overtly gay.
