Tay suddenly came awake, groaning as he felt Cub on him, a wet puddle under her. "We really have to get your doggy drool fixed," he said, before rolling to kiss Gwyn good morning, then pet Nash.
Tay shrugged. "She's only done it when she is in bed with me. I almost think she's like a personal alarm clock, and it's about her food," he said, sliding out of bed to head to the kitchen to put some food in the custom bowls he had for Cub and Nash.
Tay just shook his head. "He's your dog now. You have to take care of him. I've only ever seen Cub take to someone, me, like Nash has taken to you," he said, before kissing Gwyn, not even caring that they were naked.
Tay smiled, before lightly spanking Gwyn, keeping it playful. He noticed Nash look up, look like was almost about to growl, before realizing who it was. "Yeah, that dog is definitely yours!" Tay said, chuckling.
Gwyn squealed when Tay spanked her ass, and laughed at Nash's growl. "He loves me alright," she said, petting him again as he resumed eating. She looked up at him. "What day is it today? Like, what day of the week?" she asked.
Tay checked the calendar on the fridge, before rolling his shoulders. "It's Monday. I go back into work tomorrow. What would you like to do while I'm at work?" he asked her, sitting down at the island while waiting for her to join him.
Tay thought about it. "You won't need to really train Nash. I can show you the commands he knows, and if you want to add more, you can work on them. As for my ADA friend, we can go Wednesday. I only work a half day Wednesday," he said, standing to fix breakfast.
Tay nodded, before quickly whipping up waffle mix, looking at Gwyn. "We will get it behind you and then we can move forward. Deal?" he said, pouring the batter into a waffle iron.
Tay smiled, before waiting as the waffles were fixed. After pulling them off, he fixed two glasses of orange juice, and pulled out the butter and syrup. "Anything else you'd like?" he asked.
Tay chuckled. "Again, not till after this mess is over. Then we will celebrate the right way," he said, kissing her and licking at the syrup she missed on her lip.
Tay nodded. "We need to make sure we keep our wits about us, so we have to wait. I want to make sure we get out of this as quickly as possible, and that means doing it right," he said, taking another bite of his waffle.
"I know. Just been a while since I had a good drink," Gwyn said. "I haven't drank since. . . Adrian proposed. We kind of got drunk on champagne, he more so than me. You know me, I really don't like champagne or wine or 'girly' drinks."
Tay nodded. "You were always a true southern girl. You could handle your whiskey better than some of the guys on the force can," he said with a chuckle, remembering the drinking games they had gotten into.
Tay sighed, before kissing Gwyn. "I'm looking forward to when this is over, and I can make you mine officially," he said softly, closing his eyes and savoring the moment.
