Wanted In More Ways Than One (Closed for raiguy)

Tay stepped up behind Gwyn after seeing her starting to brush her hair, before taking the brush and doing it for her. "You know I always enjoyed doing this. You could have asked me to do it," he said, gently working out the kinks in her hair.

Gwyn smiled and relaxed into his administrations to her hair. "You know I'm not used to that anymore," she said. "I will in the future though."

Tay smiled. "Good. I won't try to braid it anymore. I'm pretty sure I'd make a mess of it, and then end up putting knots the size of golf balls in your hair," he said, laughing quietly as he continued to brush her hair.

Tay finished her hair, before smiling as he stood. "There. Your hair looks beautiful," he sad, standing up and pulling her with him. "Ready for some fresh air?" He asked.

Tay smiled, before taking Gwyn's hand and walking with her out to the corral. He had a few horses, but the two that he had at his house were his pride and joy. Rex, his 3 year old palomino thoroughbred, had been a gift from his parents for graduating the academy, and then Lily, a 2 year old Andalusian, had been a buy from a friend who had found out he needed to sell her.

"Both horses are trained, and are actually two of the gentlest I've ever seen," he said to Gwyn, leading her out to the large enclosure.

Tay nodded. "They have been my pride and joy. I take them riding as often as I can. It's part of how I stay in shape, and they both remind me to enjoy the trail and the ride I'm on," he said, before slinging a bag of feed over his shoulder and dumping it into the auto dispenser.

He walked back to Gwyn and smiled. "Would you like to meet them?" he asked.

Tay nodded, before hopping the fence, and then walking Rex over. "Gwyn, this is Rex. He was a present from my parents, and I couldn't have asked for a better friend," he said, petting Rex, and letting Gwyn meet him.

After letting Rex go, he smiled and walked over to Lily, petting her as she bumped against him, guiding her back to Gwyn. "And this beauty is my girl, Lily. I bought her after a friend had to sell her, and she has been an absolute peach," he said, smiling as both horses trotted to enjoy eating.

Gwyn nodded and gave both horses a friendly pat on their necks, smiling as she watched them go off to feed.

Tay watched Gwyn, before kissing her softly. "Are you feeling okay?" he asked her quietly.

Gwyn returned the kiss and nodded. "I'm still a bit nervous but not as much as I used to be," she said just as quietly.

Tay kissed Gwyn. "What makes you nervous?" he asked, genuinely curious about what could make her nervous.

Gwyn kissed Tay back. "I honestly don't know. Its been that way since I was a child," she told him.

Gwyn kissed Tay back. "I honestly don't know. Its been that way since I was a child," she told him.
Tay thought for a moment. "Would you feel safe being in the enclosure with them while with me? I can promise they won't hurt you, but might help you overcome this fear?" he said softly, holding her close.

Tay smiled and opened the gate, before guiding Gwyn into the enclosure. Lily immediately perked up, before slowly trotting over. She seemed to look at Gwyn, before putting her head down, and lightly nuzzling Gwyn's hand. Tay couldn't help but smile at how Lily and Gwyn were interacting.

Gwyn smiled as Lily nuzzled her hand. She was still nervous, but knowing Tay was there helped out a lot. She gently began to pet the horse, hesitantly at first but as she relaxed, the strokes became less hesitant and more sure.

Tay smiled, watching how Lily and Gwyn were interacting. He looked over at Rex, seeing him start to come over behind them, and knew what he was going to do. He smiled as Rex laid his head over Gwyn's shoulder, nuzzling against her. He had done it the first time Tay had been near him, and the man who had bred and raised Rex had said it was the first time he had ever seen him do that.

Gwyn jumped when Rex laid his head on her shoulder, but relaxed and began petting him too, smiling and steadily relaxing around them. She caught Tay's eye and her smile got bigger.

Tay smiled, before moving close to Gwyn, and betting both horses. Once they were settled, he leaned in to kiss Gwyn. "Feel more relaxed around them now?" he asked softly.

"They are that. They are the best horses I've ever seen, and they seem to just enjoy going for rides. I've thought about seeing about competing, but then I just decided that I wouldn't want to do that, so I take them riding every so often. Would you want to go riding when you feel better?" he asked softly, holding her hand.
