With so many high paying markets, and certainly as a marketer, you must be aware of how difficut it will be to get a FREE 10,000 word piece by a writer of substance? That's a tall order, and even if you are paying subsequent submissions, then you should ask for a small piece upfront that does not take blood and sweat to write. The shorter the story, the more sex, and therefore the easier to write. The longer? Then the more narrative, and ultimately more thinking and re-writing involved.

Hehe, ok point taken. Thanks for the feedback guys. Maybe 10,000 words (is that about 33 pages??) is a tall order. Maybe a short anthology instead, number of words irrelevant?

But the content has got to be couple-focused, I don't want some piece of smut out of <insert seedy porn mag name>.

2500 - 3000 words is a good ask - enough story, enough sex. The question, and I am sure people will PM you - is what's promised after? You are saying it is paying, no? A contract before submission? A release? I am a regular pain.
