Have you sent them feedback through their home page?

If you have and they have not responded either they don't ever check that e-mail, or they don't want to be bothered.

The latter seems to be the norm, because when I respond to someone, I'm often met with "wow, you replied to my message!"

Most authors want to hear from the readers-or why would they put stories here-but some don't seem to reply to the feedback function for some reason.

If they’re active on the site, ie. have published new stories recently, one thing you could still do is to comment on a story saying something like “I sent private feedback but didn’t get an answer”. If they’re not checking the email attached to the account that might prompt them to, if they pay attention to their comments at all. Then if they don’t, it’s probably best to let it be.
