I'm a crummy writer but I have a real life story I would like to put out there. It is incest between my mother and myself(son). I'm tired of seeing all these 18-19 y/o boys in these stories. I'm 26 my mother 56. I'll share any and all details if you're a writer interested in helping me share my story. Tell me what you need from me and I'll do my best to contact you ASAP

I'll offer my usual advice. Everybody starts off as a cruddy writer. It's all a matter of practice, practice, practice. Have you ever kept a diary or journal or blog? Write your story as journal entries. On this day, this happened, and this is what I saw and did and felt and thought. Be very methodical.

When you write that, you'll have a framework, not a finished story. Now, go back and play the events in your mind as if watching a video. Did you leave anything out, or do you otherwise need to make changes? Edit as needed. And when you think you have a story together, look for a volunteer editor here.

Our stories are best when we tell them ourselves. Have fun!

I'll second Hypoxia's comments. While your first efforts of writing may not be Simon and Schuster worthy, as long as it comes from your heart, it will be well received, especially by your target audience.

Absolutely recall and write down the highlights of the event(s) to meticulous detail. From here you have the basis to put the data into story form. Write it, read it, revise it, repeat, until you have it to as near as your perception allows, as well as in a coherent story form.

If you absolutely can not write for yourself ( a near physical impossibility ), then looking for a ghost writer might be in order. Lit has a number of compelling writers that will likely suit your needs, you could contact one of them, or, if you want something more personal and contractual, you'd need to find someone IRL to ghost write for you under contract so as not to disclose your personal details to the public.

I've

I've written a number of stories told to me by others and could send you a sample if you are interested. GOOD stories are golden!!!!

Thanks

Thank you all for responding. I actually took the advice of hypoxia and nipplemuncher and started to write my story. My biggest problem is my brain going so fast I mix up things in paragraphs so I'm taking my time trying to find the right amount of build up and hoping I can make it enjoyable by using aspects of what I have enjoyed reading from stories on here.

You're welcome.

Your rapid mind is why it is important to try to make notes, get your ideas out. Better is to do a story outline with the notes, this allows you to order your thoughts, then hone specific details into each area as you write, yet the outline keeps you on track.

My brain is similar to yours, firing faster than I can type, and I'll often lose a thought or train of thought. My bigger problem is that I free-write, putting down whatever organically flows onto the page, so the whole outline thing doesn't work too well for me, but I do make notes frequently, especially when a nuance isn't working in a particular spot, I'll paste this as a note to continue with later or place in a different spot, then allow the organic flow to continue.
