Why isn't his ass on the street with a cup in his hand? You don't make jokes like that at or about women, what kind of fucking moron does that anymore? He should have been fired on the spot.

MSNBC stop being a bunch of hypocrites and throw this mitch out. No apology is going to fix that bullshit. WTF. I literally cannot believe what I am reading.

PASADENA, Calif. -- MSNBC's Chris Matthews apologized for joking about a "Bill Cosby pill" while awaiting an interview with Hillary Clinton two years ago. Matthews has been criticized before for making disparging remarks about Clinton, including calling her a "she-devil" and "anti-male."

Outtake footage obtained by the website The Cut showed Matthews in an Iowa fire station, asking if he could "have some of the queen's waters." Then he said, "where's that Bill Cosby pill I brought with me?"

The reference was to accusations that Cosby drugged and assaulted women.

Matthews said that it was a terrible comment he made in poor taste when the Cosby case was in the headlines. He said, "I deeply regret it and I'm sorry."

Liberals love that network. Just like they love Clinton's, both the sex offender and his enabling wife. just like they love Islam despite its mistreatment of women and violence against homosexuals.

Liberals are becoming the typical religious zealot all finger pointing and judgement, but when its one of theirs? They look the other way.

I agree with your reply to LT, but I still want to admonish you on your use of an apostrophe; the Clintons.

That being all true, they'll still never be as rapey as the Republicans.

Democrats usually get around to eating the rapey gropey misogynists in their midst when they get outed. Look what happened to Weinstein. Matthews will get his. It may come damned late but he'll get his.

The Republicans on the other hand are the ones who say "Oh I think he did it but he's a Republican so I'll vote for him anyway!" Let's not ever forget the difference here, it's bigly.

Rapey [sic] Republicans?

Explain to us how the list of #MeToo offenders is populated almost exclusively by big powerhouse Democrat backers and the outraged enablers who refused to speak out in fear of being outside of the pack? Why is Meryl Streep just now speaking out? She finally has enough money and acclaim? or because she thinks that this is an avenue to even more? Stay silent, get rich! Get rich, go public, get even richer!!!

I agree that if we're generalizing, which is what happens most of the time, the Repugs tend to be a lot more sexist. Family values equates women barefoot and pregnant and 'fags' back in the closest.

But the issue with liberals-who I consider separate from moderate democrats-is they're so over the top with their condemnation that they HAVE to out their own when it comes up because people are waiting to pounce on their hypocrisy...so I suppose even if its not the best reason the end result is there.

I don't think they wanted Franklin to step down, but they were after Moore and Trump and others so hard they had to.

Weinstein and others....have they really gotten theirs? Sure maybe they lose future biz, but how much money have they already made? None of them has seen a day in court yet and most likely never will. And let's face it, LJ, there's a lot of people out there-mostly repugs-who think these women made it all up. The reason they were afraid to come forward in the first place.

Vigilantism would be welcome right now.

Glad you brought this up because of something I saw yesterday.

Apparently Tarantino is doing a Manson movie-because we need another?.

Now Tarantino openly admitted he knew what Weinstein was doing and turned a blind eye because he was just starting out and needed Harvey's backing and help.

So although Tarantino himself didn't mistreat any women-I've heard nothing about him in that regard-he allowed it to further his career. Had he opened his mouth back in the day, how many other women wouldn't have been hurt? I give him no credit for the admission. he still doesn't care, he was getting ahead of what he knew would come up when his buddy was put in the spotlight.

Yet the reaction to this rape enabler making a movie about a piece of trash so cowardly he had to send mush brained lemmings to disembowel a pregnant woman is overwhelmingly popular and on twitter I see the same accounts who tear apart Weinstein and all the others applauding this movie and going "yay'

So again hypocrisy because...we're for Metoo...but, um, I really like Tarantino movies. Just like Meryl Streep should be taking heat, but she always trashes GOP so the left loves her. Hell there's pics all over the place of Oprah mucking up with Harvey.

Also possibly worth noting. One of the cast memebers is Tom Cruise whose marriage to Katie Holmes was pretty much an abduction where she was barely allowed anything resembling a life and was 100% under his thumb and is a scientologist who were recently exposed by Remini for being a cult with a very poor view of women.

Oh yeah!

They all knew. The proverbial casting couch. They didn't speak up when President Clinton was on the couch. They only came out of 'the closet' when President Trump became the owner of the couch. #MeToo is nothing more than a movement to take out the known Democratic perpetrators* in order to gain the legitimacy of the impeach Trump movement. Without Trump, the abuse would still be going on, but Allah-damm it, they have the Billy Bush tape and a lot of women being paid to speak up!

* Funny how that is starting to backfire on a lot of actors who stood up to say #ME!Too!

Not a peep about the accusations about trump from the right wing (R)etards...but...Clinton.
I wouldn't expect an uneducated prairee nigger to recognize their ignorance...

Does another peep need to be peeped regarding Trump? Its everywhere 24/7 which is the point of the conversation. they all point one way, but not the other.

I fall in the middle. I'd love to see this Russian investigation nail Trump, but also Clinton who is just as dirty with the Russians. The biggest cancer of each party erased and maybe both sides get a more legit candidate next time out and the country has an option other than who is the perceived lesser disgrace

Everyone but right wingers acknowledge all accusations except against Trump, you know, the one that matters, the leader of the free world? Never mind Trump though, what about that guy who was president 20 yrs ago!

Dammit when I, who despise rape accusation vigilantism, am in agreement with you, you know shit has gone crazy out there. These assholes have it coming.

But at least we can take a little comfort in the fact that the likes of Weinstein are ruined, and Roy Moore's career is done for, and Democrats, in their zeal, have taken away from the GOP their opportunity for "Whataboutism".

Baby steps and all that.
