Most voters agree this Congress is the worst one we have ever had. The House and the Senate are our employees, right? They don't cooperate with each other, it seems they hardly show up for work, their approval ratings are at an all time low.

In the real workplace, if our employer is extremely unhappy with us, then we get fired right? If we are really the boss of Congress, why do we keep rehiring most of them?

If he fires me without lots of paperwork, warnings and meetings, I'm suing his ass on behalf of the Cherokee nation discrimination...

;) ;)

Senator Reid has gone on record stating that IF President Obama wins and IF the Senate remains in the control of the Democrats that he's basically going to gut the filibuster rules (which are customs, not laws).

He's finally come to the realization, like most of America, that the Republicans are incapable of negotiating in good faith.

Good times ahead!!

Silly rabbi, kix are for Trids. Back in 1992 or so the Democrats got Poppie Bush and the GOP Congress to wink at a tax hike, and then they used the tax increase to beat the shit outta Poppie and the GOP. Cooperating with Democrats is like getting some teenage pussy if youre 19 or 20. It feels great till they tell daddy.

I have been saying that should Obama lose, those crying loudest about "obstructionism" would be the first to embrace it...

Nice to have verification of their shifting moral "code."

I would venture to guess that ANY deficit will now be the worst thing in the world and the mess the previous guy left you means nothing; he is dead to us...

Two one-eighties make a three-sixty!

Well, as a voter, you don't get to "elect Congress," you only get a choice between two (or more, but not really) candidates for your particular district/state. And given that choice, most voters most of the time vote to re-elect the incumbent, apparently satisfied with his/her performance, at least in preference to the challenger. It's the performance of the whole body with all those members voters in other districts/states got to elect, that everybody is dissatisfied with.

Although ...

"fairness" doesn't apply to them

We get what we vote for, right? Insanity I say.

Citation is needed.

Holy Crap, RobdouwnSouth has fucking lost it. He wants obama and dems in control and allow them to spend like crazy!

holy shit, say good by to America, and Hello China

If Sarah Palin had ever made it to Congress, she would have quit by now.

Right. . .China owns less than ten percent of our debt. Even if they did own more it's not like they can yank it out from under us.

I suppose it depends upon how you look at it.

There is a new Congress every two years. I think the worst was the one that agreed that blacks were only 3/5ths of a human being.

As I recall, Obama was voted into office with majorities in both houses of Congress. Then, in the midterm elections the people actually changed the face of the House of Representatives.

It remains to be seen whether they follow through on that change and replace any of the ProBama senators standing election and Obama himself. Maybe they like it as is, where nobody has the abillity to meddle and make things even worse. Fortunately, there is an election coming up that will give us an indication.

But I don't claim to speak for the people, or know how they rank the current congress.

Don't we all just miss Van Jones? We need more Black Panthers in the White House!!

We've re-elected most all the same ones again. We won't recognize this country a year from now. I really hope I am wrong.

you are already lol

I'm really pissed, but what can you do? I was still undecided until I went to the voting booth last night. I was like, these my choices? It was like trying to decide which gallon of milk was the most sour.
