Is it just me, or was there a widespread trimming of votes today?

I can only assume these are cases of people voting more than once. Didn't really affect any of my scores much. Couple went up, couple went down.

So yes, anyone else notice it?

I didn't notice it in my stories today, but I have before in the past (if that helps any).

just the powers that be doing their little superflous-vote-seeker machine

Right on

I've read about it before, I'm just trying to figure out how it works to satisfy my curiousity. It really seemed to affect my stories >2 weeks but less than a month old, so I'm guessing that may be the voting period it checks?

So yeah, just sort of curious if others were affected and in what direction. In the past it has often helped my stories a tad.

sometimes it works against your favor.

laurel probably does the program once or twice a month; more often when contests are going on or when the monthly contest is being scored.

I thought there was a purge every month before they tabulate the 'best' of the last month?

Sincerely,
ElSol

The timing is about right for that, isn't it? Thanks, I'd forgotten about that.

Just the semi annual bi monthly house cleaning by the management.....

I didn't notice- but I wish there was, someone slammed my 4.91 story down to 4.55 with one vote. Hard to think it was not done intentionally

I did notice.

One of my stories had taken a real beating of one bombs. It still had the H but barely.

The one bombs came off and the score improved immensely. YAY!

A couple of other stories lost votes, but not enough to affect their scores.

I believe (and Tatelou put the idea into my consideration) that my new story is placed in the wrong category to really prosper. Evidently, Group Sex readers want joyous orgies. Mine is exploitative, a gang bang, with many deliberately nasty features. They're civilized-- they don't torture-- but it ain't a happy orgy, and I believe it has gotten three ones, a 2, a 4, and the rest fives on the first sixteen votes. People do seem to really hate it when they hate it. On the other hand, they vote a bit more often in that category. It's interesting. But I think I'll swap it into loving wives or reluctance/non-consent. Or both, consecutively, just to see what happens.

I did the math and checked so often because the first time I checked it there was an anonymous complaint that it was a pile of dogshit, and the rating was 2.67 with three votes!

Seeing your question, I checked again today. Up one vote. A 4 vote, it was. No evidence of any trimming.
