Vote-a-thon

I just cruised the Nude Day Contest Thread.

I have fallen under conviction.

As a fellow author, I know the angst of readers without votes and postings without readers.

So, I am challenging all the lurkers and participators to go and read and vote on the Nude Day Contest entries today or tomorrow.

It would be really lousy for some of our compatriots to not even garner enough votes to be competitive. (need at least 25 to be considered).

Consider this the official start of the Vote-a-thon for the Nude Day Contest. I may not be Jerry Lewis, but I want to encourage authors and readers to share the progress they make in reading and voting.

Let's see if we can bump all the stories into competition. :D

Okay, Bridget. Thanks for the link. Fives for Ax, Og, Gauchie, Rumple, Svenska, and Sir H.
MG
Ps. If I can get DurtGurl out of bed, I'll try to have her vote, too.

reading and voting

MG-

You are divine! I know that you don't even read stories usually, so I appreciate the extra effort. :rose:

To the rest of you:

Okay, y'all.

I have tried to be nice.

Now I am going to give you my stern look and say if you don't read at least 5 stories in the NNDC and VOTE, I will not flash the AH in my next AV.

Mind you, I have nothing to gain from all of this. I didn't even enter!

Read and voted previously (after a personal PM kicking by bikini)

Thanks Maths:eek:

Dear Bridget,
I said I voted. Nothing was said about reading them.
MG
Ps. You could threaten nonvoters with a little visit from Big Tyrone and Vito the Viper.

Shhhhh....

We don't want people to get the wrong idea. :D

Don't you remember that Tyrone and Vito have reformed? They now operate a children's camp in Dubuque.

Dear BKeeney,
T and V sometimes moonlight. Just to keep their skills current, of course.

Bless you BK. Yes friends, and you non-voters too, there are hungry (for votes) writers out there, searching for a little love and understanding (not to mention a 5 vote every now and then). It's up to each and every member of the great Literotica family to ease the suffering of these poor, mis-begotten writers by taking the time and effort to stuff those votes in the ballot box.

MG, bless you too, my child. As the centerfold for non-readers everywhere, your sacrifice is an inspiration to us all.

Svenskaflicka and cookiejar, as fellow (so to speak) contestants, I'm sure you join with me in thanking the gauchecritic for rubbing her sore spot from that kick and kicking in votes for all the deserving writers.

And in closing, let me echo the immortal words of that great, though very mortal, American, the late, lamentable former mayor of Chicago, the Honorable Richard J. Daly, "Vote early, and vote often."

Just for encouragement - I've voted for about two-thirds of the authors; will finish by Sunday. High 5's for those MG noted and a few others, some 4s and nothing lower than a 3 (sorry Ogg and Rumple).

Best wishes to all. with admiration and affection, Perdita

That's okay, Perdita, I'm sure you meant well. :)

Some of the other folks here may not be aware that the Great Og and I are pitied (not unlike prunes) in a somewhat less than titanic struggle for last place honors in this year's contest. At least we were. I may have upset his English sense of fair play by laying a five (which he deserved) on him.

ps IMHO, you're a real human being, destinie21. I don't care what all the other people around here keep saying about you. ;) RF

I'm voting, I'm voting! It just takes me a little time, because I read them through before I vote, to be able to be honest. Those of you who haven't yet read ogg's "Beach Protest", I urge you to do so now. It's no real sex in it, but it's very, very funny, and would do well in Reader's Digest.

RF I have already figured out if I can be at the bottom, sandwiched between you and Ogg that isn't such a bad thing. Sorry, but I have a bit of the devil in me today.

Ahem, I think that what Gauche meant to write was that I kicked him to go vote.

And as a Chicago native I couldn't agree more!

:rose: b

Keen one: you rise in my estimation every post. I love Chicago, the only other U.S. city I'd live in besides SF or NY. P.

Mille Grazie!

P-

You are too kind.

If one had to live in a city, Chicago is a great choice. I love to visit my family there and enjoy all it has to offer.

The operative word there is HAD. I currently live in the rural rural Southeast and love it. All the people at the grocery store know me and my four kiddos. If I were still single, living in Chi Town would be tempting. With the children, though, it is better just to visit.

For the record, P, you had best be quick about your reading and voting! Polls close soon!

Thanks, I thought I had til Sunday. Have taken the day off so I'll get to it. P.
