Visualizing your characters

My female characters often are based either on women I have known or erotic models I have liked. My Hotel Exhibitionist series was written with a very clear picture of a 40+ year old erotic model I liked. I subsequently found out she is a member here, reached out to her, and she read and liked the story. I thought that was cool.

Very cool.

I-with permission-used the exact description of the model who cos plays for me at the comic and horror cons-but that's the reverse I knew her first.

I also have a hotel based series I'm working on.

There is just nothing new under the sun, is there?

It's a little more than half-written. Hope it'll be out by summer's end.

So, chapters 1-5 done, finishing chapter 8 by Tuesday(?), the last two chapters are roughed in. There's always a big soggy middle. LOL

I can only imagine that kind of thing.

Another spectacular creation from an insanely talented artist.

Lit blocks links?? How on earth do the pic threads work then?
OK, Google Rik Mayall Vanity Fair, look at Images, and enjoy the first image (or indeed any that aren't of him gurning like in the Young Ones)

Daniel Craig and Images has him in GQ as the first hit.

I'm sick.

I'm sick.

I'm sick.

I'm sick.

I'm so fucking sick.

My favorite character image is one I have for the moment, but the weird thing is that it’s one of the male characters. To explain, I got asked for a F/m story (which isn’t my usual thing, but I thought I’d try it) and all I can picture for the main male character is Ryan Phillippe as a physicist, with darker hair, O-ring upper arm bands, a collar, and a sheepish smile.

I’m okay with this. Because it’s freaking adorable.

In a way there isn't, but it doesn't really matter. There are infinite ways to take basic plots, ideas, character types and create something unique. Shakespeare cribbed almost all his plots from preexisting works, and it didn't seem to hurt his reputation any. I'm no Shakespeare, but I think the principle applies to me, to you, and to everyone else. I look forward to checking out your hotel story.

Honest to God, I'm working on a "Mom in the backseat of the car" story. I know it's been done a gazillion times but I've read a bunch of those stories and thought, "I want to try this my way." What the hell.

I still have to work out a real-life visualization for the Mom in this story.

We all have our different limits of what we find plausible, and that back seat or lap stuff makes me roll my eyes.

But...have you looked at the all time fav story list? There's at least three of those stories in the top 10, so I guess its popular.

As for your taking your shot at it, we rise to-or sink to-different levels as time goes by and we start reaching the been there done that and looking for something new.

Good luck with it.

My hotel story-the initial one that sets up the "Alpha Hotel"-is done, but its for sale.

If LW can have 50+ versions of "February Sucks" since last fall (they seem to be having their own informal author's event), then why shouldn't I/T get it's 5000th version of "In the Backseat with Mom?"

If you need photos for visualization, then it's hard to beat i.m.a.g.e.f.a.p.

If I had some disposable time I'd do a February sucks installment, but in mine I'd have her cheat even more, and love it, and go hardcore femdom on the husband to counter the BTB rewrites.

Then give it a couple days and read the comments to some online friends in a zoom call as proof of "yes, these are real people saying this"

And that fucking blonde up there sent me down the path of a Mrs. Robinson type tale. I mean, how many times has THAT been done?

I guess that isn't accurate. That was the girl's mother having the girl's boyfriend. I think.

This a 50 something widow having the 20 something neighbor kid. And his friends.

I have six stories with a 40ish cougar laying every guy her teenage neighbor introduces her to. Are you thinking of something really unique like that?

If yours do the guy's girlfriends too, then no. Or maybe.

Nah. She was straight. I've never bought into the porn trope that every woman is at least bi.

I have bi women, they're fun to write since it multiplies the number of combinations.

But I also have straight women, a few of them may have tried the bi thing and clearly didn't like it (Dixie) or had an ok enough time but were there to fulfill a bet or a promise and wouldn't do it again (Jayne). Some had periods where they were more flexible but have over time turned purely straight (Maria, Shelly). Others if they find themselves in a group situation would stick strictly to men, or may have been willing to let another woman perform oral sex on them but wouldn't reciprocate (Bonnie, Joyce, Anna Squared).

I also have lesbians, some stick strictly to that (Teresa) and one or two don't mind fucking an occasional guy if they like him and it also involves a bi-woman and that woman's male partner (Veronica). I differentiate by what their primary orientation is - mostly straight but don't mind occasional women involved or mostly lesbian but don't mind occasional men involved.
