I was reading the other thread, and I was just curious about which drugs are likely to cause hallucinations. Not distortions or changes in perception or something-you-saw-in-the-corner-of-your-eye--but outright hallucinations.
I knew several people who took acid, for example, and felt more of a perceptual change than anything else: pulsating walls, extraordinarily bright lights, color intensification--that sort of thing.
Every once in a while I hear about people with full hallucinations, but I've never met anyone who's had them.
Did they seem real? Could you touch them? Could you hear them? Was your mental state more dreamlike, or alert?
