Virgin Slut

OK, not that I'm trying to be picky, here...and me, the LAST one to care about being correct, in any form of the word, politically, ethically or respectively, but if this person was referring to his submissive, and because he (the OP) has had his share of several online dom/sub relationships, shouldn't he (the OP) know that in all online dom/sub relationships the superior is capitalized to show superior status above the inferior?

So, in his (the OP again) post where he states the phrase I've used and re-used above and re-re-use it again here ["I must say at this point that in all my time on Lit & after several online dom/sub relationships..."], and correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm not a label type of guy, nor am I one to be a stickler for status, etc., but didn't he (the OP) incorrectly give his inferior submissive equal status to his (sorry, I think maybe that should be His) superior self?

Granted, I'm not really up on this lingo stuff, so I could be wrong, but any time I've seen it used, the superior is capitalized to show superiority, and the inferior is lowercase, to show it as submissive.

So, if that is the case, he (the OP) should have used the capital "D" when he typed the phrase ["I must say at this point that in all my time on Lit & after several online Dom/sub relationships..."] (corrected here, to show my point) as well as when he mentions his (oh, I think that should be His...I'm really not up on this stuff, sorry) Virgin Slut (shit, that should probably be virgin slut, right?) in the opening post, when he calls her "A."

Now, shouldn't he (DAMN! I mean He...this is so difficult) have used the more correct "a" instead?

And to continue his post (see above) wouldn't it be more corect to type "W/we will use this thread occasionally to converse in public."? Isn't that how it's done in online Dom/sub lingo?

Sorry for the length of this. I'm confused, if you hadn't already gathered that.

Oh, and no offense to those who use the C/capital L/letters T/thing. No disrespect intended, what so ever. I'm not up to par on this stuff.

You have totally sniffed out the poseur in our midst. (Note careful use of the lowercase 'p' in 'poseur'.)

Excellent work, Sir.

I am now gleaming with pride that you understood my post. :D

I'm also quite impressed with your patience to even make it half way through, let alone finish. AND understand it, too? Quite impressive, indeed.

And I understand the lowercase usage of the word poser. ;)

When my doctor finds out just how well the meds are working, he'll be even prouder.

Of course, I'm still seeing the lady on the ceiling and have urges to scratch infinite spirals on the walls with my fork, but by god I did understand the post and that must be some sign of progress. Right?

Well, I don't think you understood my meaning. I thought my post was rather convoluted. Even I had trouble getting through it. So, the fact that you not only made it through the post, but also understood it means that although convoluted, I did make some sense when I typed it.:D

I'm an enigma of sorts. I was concerned that the post would die a quick death, being unread by anyone because I don't care much for labels and I also don't understand the use of C/capital L/letters in a conversation.

So, you're sure it was the meds, and not you? I don't know anything about your meds, but if they give you the patience, as well as the ability to follow such a mish-mash of a post with the ease of a GPS, I want to invest! TomTom and Garmin LOOK OUT! :nana::nana:

Perhaps my meds just make me as sane as you. Ever think about that?

And I couldn't let a post like that, a labor of love, die without note. One must never leave a fallen comrade behind, after all.

ETA: Maker of this post is not, in actuality, on any meds. This is purely for entertainment, don't try deciphering DVS posts at home, people.

I appreciate the fallen comrade reference. And a labor of love it was, too. But, when you say your meds make you as sane as I am...I think you should see another doctor! Ever think about that?

But, sanity is a relative thing, if you ask me. People say I'm a little crazy all the time, but I don't take it to heart. Until the men with white coats come for me with a straight jacket, I'm not concerned.

Interesting though, I wonder what kind of meds they would bring with them? think of the posts I could produce then!

All kidding aside, I am on meds.

Gotcha!:D

So, if I read and understood DVS post, does it make me DVSane too?

Or does it mean I have been sticking around these boards too long?

Or does it mean I am just fooling myself as the fog of slash/speak has clouded my eyes and blinded my brain?

I think I might just take an aspirin ;)

Well, I'm not a doctor, but I'd advise you to take something. This DVSanity thing could be catching! Do you think an aspirin is strong enough?

Maybe an aspirin is not enough, as I'm afraid there might be no cure (Pandora's box and all that ;) )

But if there is no cure for it, at least it will kill my headache :)

the headaches they never go away

but at least the voices sometimes are quiet

except when I watch movies

imagine the worst most obnoxious movie crowd ever with people talking on phones and yelling 'watch out!'

make that a hundred times worse because they've seen most of them before I did

worst one was titanic 'look out for the iceberg' and 'oh man ship's totally going down'

ruined the ending for me altogether

LOL

Aspirin does not seem to work to silence my voices. Even a hard beating hardly shuts them up ;)

Although it is true that at least it makes them stop fighting ... as they only fight when I'm running a temperature over 38.5C

As for the movie Titanic? I think the title was a dead give away :D

THAT'S EASY TO SAY IN HINDSIGHT!
I don't understand how a movie can be so popular, when you already know what the ending is. And when they redo a great movie from the past, like the latest redo is "The Taking of Pelham 123". It was a great movie from 1874, but to redo it again, with different actors, but the same plot? What? Nothing out there that's new? Movie watchers are fickle, sometimes.

Sorry, just wondering.

Well, I wasn't a fan of Titanic, but I did love Apollo 13. Now, we know exactly how that one ended, but the acting and drama were top-notch. Also I always have a soft spot for space program movies that show just how passionate and dedicated people can be for exploration.

So suspense is not always the main course of a movie. (I'm saying this to a guy with a Hitchcock av, of course.)

Well, for me, Apollo 13 was different because I lived through it, as a kid. I also enjoy space programs and science fiction. The more real the better, and this was real.

You can say Titanic was also very real, and that's true. But I'm sorry, the movie kind of bored me. I'm not a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio, and I already knew the ship hit an iceberg and sank. Sure, there were some interesting and touching moments but it wasn't much more than reacting to what was happening.

There was no human skill or brain power involved, except how to panic and tread water in the icy cold. And if I remember correctly the lead actor didn't do so well at that. I'm not saying the movie was a bomb, because it wasn't. And maybe I'm not that fond of such a movie.

Now, Apollo 13 was great. Not only was there real life drama and suspence, but there was human skill in getting those three guys back to earth, safely. There were a series of setbacks, and they dealt with them each, one at a time. This situation had never happened before, and some very smart people put their thinking caps on and got these three men back home.

Titanic? A ship hits an iceberg and sinks in the icy water. They assumed the ship was unsinkable, but it wasn't. Sorry, I'm slightly bias, I guess.

Apollo 13? Three astronauts are stranded on the other side of the moon with very little air, very little battery power and the odds were against them. And in one of Nasa's most shining moments, they brought them home.

Sure, the movie took liberties with the story line, making more than there was of the number 13 for instance. But the important parts are all true. And, in the end, nobody dies.

Just like the great Hitchcock movies, I don't think they will (or should) ever remake this movie. If they do, it will be a mistake. But, if they ever do, I hope to God they don't cast Leonardo DiCaprio in one of the roles.

I am not a fan of the movie Titanic, and I'm appalled they made a musical out of it, but I am interested in Titanic history and memorabilia. YMMV.

Nobody can do Hitchcock like Hitchcock. What he was able to do with innuendo and suspense...

I remember the first time I saw Psycho as a kid. Even though I knew Bates was the killer, I was still on the edge of my seat the whole time.

It's a travesty that they try to replicate horror with lots of blood and guts and gotcha moments.

Hell, even the Psycho trailer was a work of art. He's just wandering around describing the crime scene, then you get the curtain pull and the woman screams.

Damn, that man was an artist. I need to rent some of the classics sometime and watch them again.

Strangers On a Train. :)

Strangers On a Train. :)

One of the very best, ever. Do you recall the scene at the tennis match where everyone in the place is moving their heads left and right to follow the ball but the murderer is staring intently at the player with whom he made his deal? The movie The Greatest Game Ever borrowed that trick.

i absolutely LOVE Hitch!

Shadow of a Doubt, Rebecca, The Man Who Knew Too Much, North by Northwest...i could go on and on...

But one of my favorites is a little picture called Rear Window...and boy does that title open up to some innuendo.

I used to share this view that remaking movies was a bad idea because most of the ensuing remakes couldn't compare to the originals - Alfie was my prime example for a while because the Jude Law version was diabolical in comparison - but there are those that show remakes really aren't all bad. The Denzel Washington Manchurian Candidate is one of the finest movies I've had the privilege of seeing in person, in a theatre. It's not even so bad if the movie's done shot-for-shot or close to it, although then it lives or dies on the actors involved (the reason Gus Van Sant's Psycho sucked. For one, I couldn't take Vince Vaughn seriously as Norman Bates, he just did not look right).

Don't get me wrong, the chances are excellent that Taking will stink in comparison, but it'll probably end up being a good popcorn flick, the sort of thing you see because you like one of the people involved or it gets a good review then you don't watch again until it pops up on Sky. No sense in dishing out numbers before everything's hatched.

I do remember that scene really well! I've never seen The Greatest Game Ever ..is it worth renting?
