Vintage 40 Prime THREE

He was freshly smoking beef sausage and a turkey this morning. When I left he was moving on to kielbasa, and we're talking honest-to-God garlic and pork fat stuff that I grew up with

My cousin in Switzerland is smoking pork and sausages. He is using beech and I asked if he ever used hickory. No he hadn't because it is too expensive. Like 5 Euro an oz. (I think he may have his conversions slightly askew) so I sent him a five pound bag of Hickory chunks and a bag of mesquite chips for good south west flavors.

Sonds like you need good Sauerkraut too RJ. with Kummel (caraway seeds). Maybe some red Cabbage.

Wish we were closer. We have the moving thing down pat. Just our bedroom left to move.

Dang!!!

I over did it bad on Thanksgiving I took most of today off. I still shredded half a 55 gallon container but napped most this afternoon. The PT really tore up the arm good Monday and it's been burning to just move it. I've been pushing all week so today down was needed.

They all must have trained at the same dundgeon

Started off my day trying to pick up an empty box to move it into the living room and my shoulder called me a bitch

Beyond tired. Still no help and I have asked.
Moved furniture yesterday but can't move the china hutch or entertainment center. What I managed yesterday I used a flat roll thingy. This is stuff I am NOT taking with me. The charity truck will be here for it Saturday.

Trash and recycling pick up tomorrow so I'm busting butt today to get it full. Today is my last full day this week. I have PT tomorrow and flag wave Friday which may be the only breaks I get for a while.

I'm down to the kitchen & bathroom to pack. Then it's the stuff I use everyday like my meds & clothes.

by the way internet is off as of tomorrow. I'll be checking in with my smarter then me phone. They pushed back my being able to get in by a week so I'm stuck with no net, or landline for a week.

Love your refereence to a smarter than me phone. That describes the one I have to a T.
I hate to be disconnected. I can do without food longer than I can stay sane without the internet.

Oh God! I was shifted all over the place once upon a time.

Arangeing furniture was a kids dream, I had to be ready to be moved a few thousand miles away.

Thought I would pop in and say good morning! I'm hoping the sun breaks through the cloud cover soon as I would like a bit of sunshine before this weekend's rain hits.

So there was a new story grumbling about some of the things that kids are requesting from the charities with the 'angel trees'. There were a lot of comments about one teen requesting an Iwatch and another wanting xbox games and a tablet. Kids needs are more complicated than when I was a kid. But it did get me to thinking about finding one here and seeing what I can help with.

If this is what the teens want, then someone has failed them along the way. I'm always suspicious when kids in a charity want items I can't afford.

True.. the explanation was that in the past a trained volunteer interviewed the family and guided the children to reasonable requests, this year the pre-qualified families made their wish requests online.
