Vintage 40 Prime THREE

Never. If I ever go into cardiac arrest do not bother calling the EMT's. Someone like you would provide an excellent incentive to wake up! :)

Awwwwe thank you.
How's it going up there? We got a snap of cold hitting last night.
Not like you get Thank God cause I'm using the oven and space heater to stay warm here

We're in the process of moving. Luckily it's only half a mile to the new place so we load up the truck and car and take stuff over. Cold here too. If we weren't moving we might even light a fire. The heater came on the other morning and it had that burnt smell to it. You can tell it only gets used about three month out of the year.

I found the shorter the distance between homes the longer it takes to get everything from one to the other.

Saturday was a beautiful day here with a lot of sunshine and temperatures into the low 60's. I would have really enjoyed going out for a long walk somewhere but that is no fun when done alone so I just stayed indoors and enjoyed looking out the window.

I woke up yesterday to find that the temperature had dropped into the 40's and that we had the typical gray sky of a late November day. There was enough wind for me to worry about a tree limb (or even an entire tree) crashing down onto the car. Conditions are much the same now and I am glad that the work I have to do can all be accomplished inside. The heating system very happily works well but I try to be careful to keep from overtaxing it or from turning up the thermostat enough to drain my bank account.

Good luck with that, OX. I have moved far too many times in my life. I kick myself when I think about all of the things that I realize now were valuable but that got trashed or left behind due to concerns about "traveling light." The mere thought of moving again gives me nightmares. Hopefully the next time will be when they cart my dead body out of here... but not till then!

That burned dust and metal smell that scares the shit out of you at first smell?

I hope my move next week goes as smooth as yours!!! Give the family hugs and tell them Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I'm trying to make sure that kind of stuff gets a good home with a friend who can use or appreciate it. My EMT friends who we feed on holidays are swinging thru yo help me lift the JD barrel into the truck to deliver tomorrow. I just got them set for Thursday. And the barrel is going to a bike shop that does custom work for my military guys, heavy on Special Forces. I'll get pictures after it's set in the show room. I also am hooking them up with a Lynchburg contact too.

I had to deal with that this week too. The landlords either didn't turn the heat back on or they screwed things up and it's now broken. So I had to unpack the little space heater.

I am so screwed then. I'm only moving about 3 minutes away by car.

It's the whole.. I'm tired, I'll get it next trip mentality. My 1/2 mile move took 2.5 weeks. I will admit it was mostly on the boyfriend's end of things.. When he got sick I got my Dad over one saturday to help me move the rest of the things out. We knocked it out in one day, Dad doesn't stop.. lol.

Good luck with the move!

Planned moving is even better, about a years worth of planning.

Then there are those yard sales.

I had a big storage depot when I was younger, it was called my parents attic, that only lasted for so long.

We've been doing pretty good. Until the Mortgage Company told us we couldn't move in yet. We've decided to set up what we have over there, take a tactical pause for a few days slow the move and then by next week after we sign our lives away finish up with the Bed and some clothes.

It's been crazy here too. No date or idea if things are moving along great on schedule for me to move in next week. The FD guys swung by last night after a call and helped load the huge Jack Daniels barrel into the truck. I got them set with my teams part of Thanksgiving Dinner. This shift is the one stuck working Thursday. I sent them back with the rest of the food from the event pantry and a small never used air compressor my dad sent me to air brush with. They were going to look it over and see if they can use it to clean some of the equipment at the station.

That's more stuff I dont need or have to move.

I woke up this morning to the smell of smoke...the realized that the neighbor was using his smoker to do some meats.

THE BASTARD!!

The same thing happened here yesterday. My word, that smelled so good. Then again, I would be much happier to enjoy his wife's company in bed than to sit at the table and eat what he was cooking. I can not imagine that she has never figured out how much I want her. There is something especially sexy about a MILF who is so completely natural and down to earth but who also is a MENSA member.

He was freshly smoking beef sausage and a turkey this morning. When I left he was moving on to kielbasa, and we're talking honest-to-God garlic and pork fat stuff that I grew up with

So did you two go raid your neighbors???

I pushed packing too hard & then went to Bob Evans for a turkey dinner.
Today was a rude awakening. I really hurt bad so I'm not doing too much today at all.

He's going to give me some kielbasa, since he's using my family's recipe, one that uses fresh garlic and garlic powder.
