Vintage 40 Prime THREE

I don't have all of the health issues that you are dealing with but I am scared by what is happening here. This place might end up having to be sold underneath me due to the owner's impending bankruptcy. My rent has been the same for many years and the cheapest apartment that I can find (with partiers and gangsta baby mammas as neighbors) goes for $1,400 monthly rent. As a retiree on a fixed income this is not good. I have a compact car so I can not exactly camp out in it. It seems that the only help for people these days is for mothers with small children and there are plenty of them without roofs over their heads here in the Philadelphia area. :(

I am blessed that I have two options to fall back on if shit hits the fan in my life.. Both Goddess and my sister have a place I can stay if needed.

One place to check for what programs are in your area is www.211.org You go to the website and put in your zip code. It's a data bank of local, state, federal, charity help. Everyone has a different set of guidelines they follow plus income levels. But you are correct. Most larger city areas help is based around single mom's and kids.

My area is the same way. Doesn't matter skin color, if you are single and no kids it doesn't matter if you are handicapped and on Medicare. Miss J has no more help to her at 70then I do at 52. She at least has her church people who feed their congregation on Sundays so their seniors get one real meal a week.

You are blessed. :rose:
I'm waiting for a call back from Humana to see about a case manager and see if they have any more pull then anyone I've tried to network with on this search. The only good thing is the amount of time.

Worked this weekend on tearing apart photo albums, packing books and getting stuff sorted for the trash pick up this morning. The boxes were heavy enough trying to move and shift them with just the right arm that the right shoulder hurt this morning as basic as the left out of surgery. but I'm being careful.

Hi all. Happy Friday
I've been real busy last couple weeks but I have my boat all but finished. We took it out last weekend and after a but more work Saturday night on the engine it ran real good on Sunday. I even pulled my adult kids around on the tow tube. The last part, the pads for my new sundeck on the boat just shipped yesterday so everything should be done next week. I'm picking up hay for my wife's minis today and tomorrow I am taking the wife for a drive in the mountains to scope out our annual camp site down at Elk Creek by Mt St Helens. She wants to take the trailer down this year so I have to make sure I can get it down there. Probably have to take the chair saw and lopers to clear the road of winter fall limbs and trees but that's normal. Also have to finish mounting the two extra solar panels to the top of our trailer before we go... Always something.
Have a good weekend everyone! :)

I take it you've gon'e fishin?

$1400.00 monthly, dam, that is bigger then a monthly mortgage payment.

Time to buy some land and build your own place.

You could always move to a different State, get the energy to relocate.

She did it again, this afternoon she shows up at my place with a Beagle pup asking me to watch after her while she does her thing relocating.

I know she is sticking me with another dog, she did it with Fergus, my cats do not approve.

When it's half past 4 and I'm shifting gears, that dairy tanker likes to make a squeal.

Well you know it's that time of the season when I'm not plowing or adding salt seasoning.

I have become too lazy in my old age to care for a dog. They are too damned needy but I do occasionally meet a beagle that melts my heart. They are not the smartest but they are so sweetly earnest. One of my favorite movie scenes is in Young Einstein when Charles Darwin shows up with The Beagle (a very cute looking like dog with a big badge to identify him as The Beagle).

Sometimes it sucks to write. I can't get a story based on what I did my freshman year in college to read well.

My freshman year was a painfully long series of fumbles that ended with a crash and burn disaster. Still I will always long for that beautiful little Audrey Hepburn look alike.

My freshman year began early: Soccer practice started a month before school officially started, and I shocked the returning players.

Oh, then there's living with 3 coeds, over a woman and her 2 daughters....

The only real memorable event was senior year. My boyfriend lived off campus and got to a special event late so we didn't catch up with each other until after. That event was by Ed & Lorraine Warren the paranormal investigators & demonologists who investigated Amityville and other spooky places. Scared the hell out of both of us.

I'm back!

starry, attended a small venue concert tonite listening to La Lucha, a jazz trio (keyboards, bassist, and drummer) plus singer. The group is from the Tampa Bay area. Thoroughly delightful evening of jazz! If you get the chance to catch them locally, by all means do so.

I will ask Miss J if she has heard of them. She is VERY into her Jazz.
I know Tampa is known for some great creative artists in all mediums.
I'll be on the look out for them. Thx!!!!! :rose:

My new Humana nurse called me and will be here after PT on Thursday.
Here's to hoping it's a first step in the right direction.

Had the boat out Saturday and Sunday :D
I did some fishing both days before the family got themselves ready for the boat races. Actually took some bass home yesterday so we could have fish tacos for dinner. They were good!
