To whomever can help,
I have taken a video via my webcam and camera that I wish to send to a friend but it never gets to her or she is unable to open it or it takes too long to send. any help appreciated.
Robin
as for her not being able to open it... she most likely doesnt have the correct Codec installed on her pc to view the type of video file you're sending her. 8 times out of 10... windows will alert her of which codec she needs to install when she tries to view the file. Codecs are completely free, the only hard part is finding the codec you need. You can almost always find them by using a google search
as far as the filesize... you can do either of two things.. you can record your video in "Microsoft Video 1" format... which usually makes your video a small mpeg file (usually about 1 meg per minute of video *my estimate*).
OR
you can make your video... and then convert it to a format that has a small filesize (either .wmv or .mpeg)... you can download video converters from alot of different places. you can search for them on google. or try www.afterdawn.com ... they should be able to help you out there..
i hope i explained this in a way people can understand
