Vibrating gift advice?

Hi, all,
yes, I know it's after Christmas, but I was talking to a very good friend today and she mentioned wanting a vibrator. She's the kind of close friend for whom I could buy a vibe and it wouldn't be weird, in case you're curious. So, now I'm wondering: what would a good vibe be...for ...under $50? (I am constrained by a budget...and it's never had to accommodate purchasing vibrators, weirdly enough ). Any suggestions?

you can buy great bullets for around 14-20$ or so (usually tiny and handheld, resembling an actual bullet usually).

if you're looking for a vibrating dildo, they're usually around 24+, the more functions (clit stimulator, rotating shaft, "lifelike" feel, etc,) the pricier they get.

I vote for spending your money on a quality vibe like the Hitachi Magic Wand w/ the two vinyl attachments. You should be able to get it for $50 including shipping if you shop around (I think Nitetimetoys had the best deal last I checked, but sometimes Amazon or Goodman's does), and she'll have a great multitasker with a 1-year warranty.

In my area (Dallas) there are a couple of nice Adult stores with large selections of toys. They are couple friendly, clean, and professional.

I know you're not a couple, but if I wanted to buy something like this for a good friend, an outing sounds like a fun way to do it. And you can tell a good friend to pick the toy of her choice for under $50.

The Magic Wand is a very good choice. It's probably not the sexiest looking vibrator out there but it is very effective and has definitely earned its reputation.

This is barely on topic but yesterday I bought a toothbrush fetauring somesort of "sonic cleaning pulse action". If you were looking for something super discrete that she could take with her to hotels or what have you.. Wow that was impressive power for just a toothbrush.
