I have an idea kicking around that has the male character taking viagra for what ever reason.

So what I am looking for is info from people who have actually taken it.

Info like:

- how long does it take to kick in?
- how long did it last for you?
- how many times did you have sex before the effects wore off?
- did you notice any side effects?
- was it difficult to think about other things than sex?
- anything else that can be thought of...

You're writing a short story, not a mazazine article. Take what most know about Viagra(it makes men hard) and run with it.

I just figured the more I know, the more believable the story can be. It could save me getting feedback telling me I don't know what I am writing about.

one premise is having a friend slip the main character crushed viagra in a drink (similar to the scene in 40 days & 40 nights, where the coworkers do that to get the lead character to break his vow.) So hence me asking when it kicks in.

or the main character has been invited to an orgy party, he decides to take a viagra, so he can endure the party, then gets a call saying that the party is cancelled.

Or asking "was it difficult to think about other things than sex?" can the main character focus on stuff or just want to fuck any female with a pulse. If the character goes outside will the character be able to do more than creepily oogle every woman that walks by (hmm possible idea for a viagra rape story).

Also the more questions I ask, the more the ideas get flowing. I may not use all the info I am asking for, but it gives me a broader range to work with when trying to write the story.

Magazine article or no, some authors like to pay attention to detail. And if there is something that an author doesn't know well, he or she will research it.

I had an idea for a story that loosely came from the Resurrection Mary tale. I've known of this ghost story for many years, but I still ran a search on the net to see if any web sites/pages had more info than I knew. I found out such things like the woman died in the 1930s and so on.

For me, the web sites I found still didn't give me enough info. So I ran new searches. Example: the story says the ghost can be found "walking" along Archer Ave. in Chicago near Resurrection Cemetery. Upon a search I discovered there is a real Resurrection Cemetery. But it's not in Chicago. It's in a "suburb" called Justice, IL and on Archer ROAD, not AVENUE. Another small detail I looked up was what interstates and highways were near by.

Now, all of this may seem pointless to you, but I'll bet if anyone in the Chicagoland area reads my story (if nothing more) they'll get a little chuckle out of those details. Heck, they might even say to themselves "That's right! I remember the stories about Resurrection Mary. I wonder if I can find that cemetery and the location of her sightings if I drive out there?!"

This may be "only a short story for Literotica", but good authors have an eye for detail.

As for viagra, I don't know anything about it. I've never been with a man who was on it.

But I totally know what you're talking about Preachrman. :)

Why not go to the viagra website?

(By the way - recreational drugs in a story for me are a major turn-off; just saying.)

i believe that for greatest verisimilitude, you should consider having the character use a pill-cutter. those suckers are potent stuff i understand.

You'd link viagra to, say, pot or X?

Unless it's used as a "date rape" drug against the man's will or knowledge, how could it be used inappropriately?

By inapprorpiately, I mean not as intended by the drug's manufacturer; aka not for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

Many recreational drugs are simply misused perscription drugs.
