Viagra & Antidepressants

I've been on Paxil for depression & Panic diorder for about 6 years now. I was at lower doses when started but am taking 45mg daily now. Also I'm 38yrs old.

Now at the lower doses and being younger it didn't affect my erection any or intrest. But now at this higher dose it has affected the erections. I recently got a sample of Viagra and was wondering if any males here have takin Viagra as well as being on antidepressants.

If so how was it ? Did it work for you ? any side effects to think about ?

My doctor thinks it'll be just fine but I am a little nervouse taking it for the first time.

Any info would be great !

Your doctor and the CNN article seem to agree that it wouldn't be a problem.

You might want to browse WebMD and other medical sites for a third opinion, but I don't see any reason to be nervous when the information you've gotten so far says there shouldn't be a problem.

Low Blood Pressure is a infrequent side efffect of some antidepressents. If you are lucky to have it, it could also be having a mild effect on erections. Adding Viagra to the mix might also drop your blood presure further giving you feelings of fainting.

Probably won't happen to you, but start with a low does like 5mg in the morning just to see the effect.

If you really get into viagra, ask for the 20 mg and a pill splitter.

There are also two other drugs to try. Ciales from Lilly can last a good 24+ hours. Levitar from Beyer is good for 4+.
