having recently installed a multifuel stove at home i find paper books give out more heat than velum manuscripts and are easier to light.

Any tips anyone?

Another vote for Fata's anti Kindle crusade, then?

So you are burning all of your books?

Over here in the USA they sell some kind of round fuel things that look like hockey pucks and put out a lot of heat.

Air is your friend. You have to get some fuel between all of those boring pages.

Become a book reviewer .
Spider Robinson when he was a reviewer kept himself warm in winter in Nova Scotia using crap books .

Cos he's an evil, ferret faced cunt!

true.

however this thread is about using books as fuel. not which politician would rather see working class children sold into bioscience labs for research, and which secretary of state for education is most in the thrall of which multi academy trust. get a grip you fucker.

for christ sake soon itll be pleas for an end to term time only contracts for education support staff, many of which are nonemales and deserve a higher rate of pay and better Ts and Cs.
