Dee Dee grew up in West Germany, and he had it rough. He was a delinquent, and wrote many of the Ramones' songs about the violence and helplessness that existed even on the "good" side of the wall. About selling his body just to score some cash for drugs. By age 14 he was already a heavy opiate addict, stemming from the rampant morphine-use-epidemic of post war Germany.

He died from a heroin overdose at age 50, back in 2002.

Rest in peace, Dee Dee.

Yeah it's a better picture on its own, but I liked the simulated "dolly zoom" effect on the first one. Trying to invoke a feeling of dread and panic. But it got a bit too mudded.
