I've come across many older posts/sets/single pics (usually while looking for something else), seems a shame not to give them new life. It's a nice surprise to come across something that I've long forgotten about and think this might be okay for the thread.
........didn't really think about it MN. From memory it was all about presenting the best pics we could take. In the majority of early photos, Vanessa was nude....everything was visible.
We began taking a few pics before posting on the net. They were film so we needed to be a little restrained. When digital came along and we started investigating sites on the net, I remember saying: "We could do better pics than some of the stuff people are posting". And that's how it started. After we loaded up half a dozen pics to an obscure little site, we were of course, anxious about the reception. The reception was terrific.....and the rest is history.
No Pol it's not. It was in fact the Fuji, and they were colour. I just started experimenting with different settings and ran the lot through Nik software...with emphasis on tonal contrast.
I'm still waiting for the new lens to be delivered for the Pentax Mono. I'm not using it at the moment because the old lenses I have that will fit it are not really up to snuff to bring out the best in the camera. Tone, as well as many other bits and pieces can be adjusted in the camera, so I'm really looking forward to taking many more pics with it. That's what it's designed for.
It's been on back order for nearly two months now. Not surprising, a search of photographic equipment suppliers will show 'back order, 'out of stock', 'special order' etc etc...........not enough demand, only enthusiasts seem to use cameras now, everyone else uses their phone!
