Thanks Richard, always a pleasure to view your pictures, Vanessa or otherwise. There is a very similar Village, same concept, called The Black Creek Pioneer Village, just to the north of Toronto. It is on the site of an original village but has been added to with rescued buildings from all over Ontario. Laid out as a working village and so authentic that it is often used as a filming location for Canadian period TV/Movie productions. Always a favourite place to visit when we lived over there.........the place is called The Pioneer Village. It's a collection of buildings and artifacts from all over the district......much like the spot near you. There are old slab farm houses, churches, railway stations, pub etc etc.
Thankfully someone had the foresight to save these buildings and place them in one location for all to visit. Once they're gone, they're gone for good. I may have a few more photos of a previous visit; if I find them I'll load them to SP
