Hmm... interesting question to me (a pretty much lightweight, lifestyle, service oriented/sensation slut, newishbee). Is it sub-space without domination?

Now my inexpert (see above) reading of this is two fold -

1) if subspace is that dissociated "not there" invoked by domination, then by definition it isn't - there was no domination (according to your own words);

2) If subspace is that dissociated "not there" that is invoked by a sensation, emotional impact, etc then I guess it is. The thing that gets me into a non-world of near-orgasm fastest isn't BDSM at all - it's a really well made creme brulee. Seriously - I am not kidding. There is something about that taste and tactile sensation that sends my eyes back into my head, my mind somewhere else, and literally makes me groan - or so I'm told when I return after each mouthful (told by my wife who insists I stop embarrassing her in the middle of a busy restaurant). I'm a sensation slut.

i think it safe to say that sensation play is different for all of us. A feather may irritate, alligator clamps may tickle or clitoral stimulation may be unbearable. Whatever the sensation, it goes without saying that our (subs) gateway into space is just not universal. If the vampire glove to skin sets off the reaction rather than genital torture, it really isn't important what kind of sensation got us there.

To answer the question, yes dolf, the sudden slip into space has happened and can happen dependent upon what defense mechanism is in place. If one is expecting a solid beating, the mind (and the body to an extent) prepares itself. However, a mindrape can trip the subspace switch, especially if unexpected. Sounds like to me that you weren't expecting to experience any sensation and the glove tripped your wires. Kind of like a soft kiss on the back of the neck when you're totally unaware. Your whole body (at least in my case) seems to squeeze in then melt. A bit of woozy/dizzy happens and then you're smiling at the sensation. Magnify that reaction and couple it with what seems to be your celibate state and you have a common reaction to not only receiving an intimate touch, but one that was tinged with serious kink.

yes, from now on i'll keep my gloves on, wear long sleeves and high necks & have a no touching rule

Hey dolf, funny you should ask this question. I was considering starting quite a similar topic.

A dominant male friend of mine has recently started training me in self defense/martial arts type stuff, and I'm finding I'm enjoying it on levels I would have never expected.

Just the other day, when I fell into my usual fighting "head space," my friend confronted me on whether the sparring was arousing to me. At first I denied it, but then it was pointed out that my nipples were errr... standing at attention... and had been doing so for the duration of our previous lessons.

In a way I'm glad it was brought out in the open because I despise the idea of wearing something as confining as a bra to train in, and the added humiliation factor made it all the more delicious.

The part that kind of intrigues/bothers me about it is the awareness that someone of my nature can get off so much on the idea of kicking and punching someone into submission.

I find training to be like the ultimate in fore-play.

Had first session with Master last night was wonderful, shame it had to end.

He has a glove!!
It goes on the back of his hand it is covered in studs.
Feeling it across my back was amazing, the differing sensations as he changed the pressure of it was delicious.
Could have let him use it all night without his doing anthing else!
I didn't drop the way dolf did at the munch when someone used a glove on her,
