What's everyone doing for Valintine's Day.
I have quite a few ideas, but not sure exactly how I'm going to plan it all out because his b-day is the 16th.

Off load Girl Scout Cookies :D Our shipment comes in that afternoon and we'll be offloading the semi then sorting and delivering them out. Our Service Area gets about 1500 cases of cookies each year (there are 12 boxes per case) that needs to be sorted through. The weekend will be spent at booth sales.

With hubby gone this year, I doubt I'll do anything else :)

I will ignore the day. :) But maybe I can contribute something next year.

In the mean time I am staying tuned for the romantic ideas of others. ;)

Great thread idea. Thank you, rosebud and everyone else sharing. :rose:

If you search titles for 'valentine*' for all dates, you should find quite a few threads from the past. I suggest it because I know there have been a ton of great ideas since I've been here. :)

What am I doing for Valentine's Day? Probably nothing because my guy will have to work. The perfect V-Day for me would be just staying in and watching a movie because with him being a cop, we dont get to spend too much time together.

My boyfriend's in New Zealand on Valentine's Day.. Hm. Tis rubbish. Must think of something I can do for him. remotely so to speak! :p Any ideas?

Most likely in a airport, on a plane or in a hotel......

I'm crapping out on Valentine's Day this year. I have no money and no idea what to get my boyfriend. So I suggested not giving each other anything. And since he lives 200 miles away, I might not get to see him either.

I have never seen valentines as a big issue.

More as a way for card companies & florists to make money.

Last year I wanted to buy flowers for my sons grave, the spring flowers were outrageously expensive but the next day were less than half the price. I guess I will spend huge amounts on a small bunch again this year for his grave. I am not a cheapskate but valentines is a rip-off.

This year Andante will be in the UK, hopefully we will spend the night having a BDSM scene including great sex lasting hours, lots of my giving him oral and him beating my back and ass.
Either that or we can see whats on TV that night lol :p

Since I have school in the morning and he has it in the afternoon/evening, it will just be swapping cards and a quick lunch in between....how romantic ;)

i'm sending my fiancee a chocolate tower from Hershey's to him at work because nothing says I love like being embarassed in front of all your co-workers!! Then the next weekend we're going to the casino for the weekend. Should be a good time :)

I am not doing anything. I cannot stand the whole hallmark holiday thing and refuse to partake in it. I've already told the guy I'm seeing that I dont want him to do anything, and definitely don't expect me to because I wont. I fully believe that if you're going to care about someone, you need to care about them all the time, and show it all the time, not just on one day of the year.

I might take my kids out to eat and to a movie the day before.

I already went to the mountains with my husband for three adult only nights. We take our holidays when we can get them given that both our schedules are a bit crazy. This is only our third year to do something like this around the holiday for US. It's quite wonderful. Now we do something for us twice a year around our anniversary too.

For me I also got some red hots. It's not Valentine's without some red hots! It's the must have munchie for this holiday for me.

Fury :rose:

My husband and I will exchange cards, and he might get me some roses, but that's pretty much it.

Our anniversary is tomorrow, and that's more important to us than Valentine's Day.

We're spending the weekend of the 16th together. That'll pretty much be our celebration.

Well, I think I'll go downstairs to check the mail in the morning, and find nothing with my name on it. Then i'll see out the reminder of the day writing my final project and being in a foul mood with everyone and everything after failing to convince myself that it's just a capitalist, consumerist feast of schmaltz because as much as i'd like to believe that, a card would just be nice.

The Mrs. and I will probably exchange cards, maybe break in the new living room furniture that is suppose to be delivered on the 14th. ;)

We're not planning anything. The weather here is supposed to be awful tomorrow.

We're not planning anything. It's not such a big thing here (in NL), although the shops are trying to convince us it is
