I have some pictures of our trip to London that I will be posting when I get a chance to resize..

I lost most of my pictures of an earlier trip to Europe when I damaged the discs they were on..only had a few left that I hadn't downloaded and were still in the camera. This park was only a block behind my Hotel.. I would get up early in the morning when it was still cool, and walk in it, trying to absorb the sights and sounds that I had experienced the day before. The whole trip went much too fast... a sensory overload so to speak. This picture was taken the day before I left... somewhat diasmayed that I did not have more time.

Well, I spent all morning with the girls downtown today, showing my niece around. I took a few pics with my cell and I'll be posting them here if it's ok with george :)

At the feet of the Acropolis Rock, right next to Plaka, is Monastiraki. Another little pocket right in the heart of the city of 4 million, where time stops one century back and peace reigns, flowers are in bloom, people take the time to look you in the eye and smile, unhurriedly... a plunge into a different era altogether...

The last photo dates from about a month back. We had been at the Herodeion Theater to see Carmen and after that we had late supper at the roof garden of a restaurant close by.

Again taken with my cell :D

And no, you remember the steps coming down from Lykavittos Hill and into the fashionable Kolonaki. That's quite far away from Acropolis and Monastiraki :D
