Since I didn't keep a journal I may have been wrong about whether we did our walk toward the Collosium the first or second day......but on the way we passed the Roman Forum...these are the excavated ruins of ancient Rome.....it would have taken a tour guide to explain what was what...as it were it was astounding that so much survived 2000 years.......
In front of the ruins is one of very few remembrances of Julius Caesar..........this was commemorated by the Jewish population of Rome, because of their favorable treatment by the emperor....
