VA friends

Our road is still a sheet of ice! Lots of tree limbs down, but at least the sun is shining!
My driveway was cleared today. Solid ice between 5” and 18” on our 200 foot long driveway has been pushed aside. We can now leave our house. Other neighbors who haven’t had their driveways cleared will be unable to leave their homes for at least 10 days and probably longer because temperatures are forecast to remain below freezing.

It was an exhilarating feeling watching my driveway open up again. A lot like I felt as teenager when my parents told me I was no longer grounded for something I’d done.

I was able to get out yesterday using 4WD...kind of "aim and shoot" and slide your way out!

With sub freezing temperatures, frozen ground, and Punxsutawney Phil bringing discouraging news yesterday, it might be a bit premature to discuss spring and summer attractions in Virginia, but I’ll raise this anyway:

What are the best wineries and microbreweries in our state?

My favorite so far is the Old House Winery in Culpeper. Their homegrown wines got a good review from a friend of mine who’s a Napa Valley wine snob, there’s a spacious shady lawn area with lots of tables and chairs, a fishing pond that kids love, an indoor dining area with good food, live performances with some good local musicians, and an overall family friendly vibe thats ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and other celebrations. It’s off Rt 3 in farm country.

I’m most impressed that you spelled Phil’s first name right 👍🤣.
Does that Old House Winery also have a WWII themed “ officers club” on their grounds?
Around here the Alpine Goat Brew Pub is a very nice venue, as well as Stablecraft.
We tend to go to Barron Ridge winery. Cross Keys is also great, you can get a very nice dinner there too.👍

I looked it up. No way could I ever memorize the spelling. Probably couldn’t even I lived there. 🤣

I’m not aware of a WWII themed officers club at Old House Winery. There might be. There are several buildings on the property including a bourbon distillery. Haven’t tried that yet but it’s on my to do list.

As a relative newcomer to Virginia, I’m not steeped in Redskins history and tradition (although as a lifelong Raiders fan up until ownership screwed us by moving to Vegas, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Raiders thrash them in Super Bowl 18). Now that I’m a Virginian, I’m wishing all the best for the team now. With a promising young QB, a solid coaching staff, and a new stadium in DC, their future looks bright.

The passing of Sonny Jugensen has sparked a lot of memories and stories of the regional legend this week among the longtime locals. They’re fun to hear and read about.

RIP Sonny.

As a ( former) life long Bills fan, I remember the infamous trade of Mad Bomber Lamonica for Tom Flores, & Art Powell 😂😂😂😂. Welcome to the Commonwealth.

Me too. My dad took my brother and I to games at Frank Youell Field before the Coliseum was built. I was too young to really appreciate those days though. The big thrills for me came when I was in high school and Kenny Stabler took the starting job from Lamonica.

Those Oakland teams of the 70s were the best. The offensive line with Shell, Upshaw, Dalby, Vella…the TEs Casper and Chester. WRs Freddie B and Cliff Branch, FB/RBs Hubbard, Van Egan, Davis,. Guys like Tatum, Atkinson, Villapiano, Hendricks on defense.

Good times!

Those names conjure up a lot of memories. Don’t forget Otto & Blanda either.
Took advantage of the 56 degrees & sun this afternoon here in the Valley. Still have a good 6-7 inches of snow outside. So I just felt this need to be naked outdoors. With just my boots on I went outside to the backyard. Made some “ yellow snow” then just frolicked about for the next 5 minutes or so. Rubbed that icy snow all over my cock & balls, ass & chest. Most Stimulating & Invigorating 😱😜. Wife was inside totally unaware. Also made 3 vids to share a couple of ladies I’ve met on here. A most productive February afternoon 👍👴😈
