I checked out the web site but it seems to mostly be a restaurant with some hookah but unfortunately no dancing. I have found that dance clubs are more conducive to meeting new people. Who doesn't like some up close and personal dancing. :)

That is true. I spent the day as a couch potato. finished up season 1 of Jack Ryan on Prime and started to watch Empresses in the Palace series. Interesting Chinese historical drama. Definitely a none productive day.
 
Been quiet in the lover state. What has everyone been up to? Anything fun that I did not hear about?
 
Virginia seems to have twin threads going. How in the world did that happen since it is hard enough getting people to post on one thread. lol. I could go for a female friend in VA, :)

All the best to you too. Would be nice to have some women in Virginia post once in a while. Maybe that could be someone's New Years resolution.

Ahh the ever hopeful & resilient Stargaze. Again I salute you for attempting to do the impossible, Good Sir. I had time to do a little research today. Since this thread started back in 2013 there have been approx 3000 postings. Of the first 10 pages (. 25 ads per page) only 10 were from the fairer sex. Of the last 10 pages, only 5 ladies posted/ responded. With numbers like this it’s a wonder that this thread managed to continue at all. I believe it’s your Herculean effort the past 2 years that have kept it going. But I fear it’s days are numbered with out more female participants. I salute your efforts & one day, if I’m fortunate enough I would love to raise a pint 🍺 with you. Slainte

lol, I probably made 2000 of those posts. Maybe that is the problem, women are sick of me whining so are not posting. :) There has always been a huge male to female ratio problem on Lit but it seems to be exaggerated on the VA thread considering the number of people in northern VA, Richmond and the VA Beach area. I am sure there are women from VA on Lit but I guess they find more interesting places to post or just prefer lurking.

I may try to get a happy hour setup sometime where we could raise a pint or two. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
 
Not quite sure, I stopped counting at 669... I think you analysis is a good one. Like the idea of raising a pint 🍺, but as I live in the Valley, & you in NoVa, I believe the logistics, especially the homeward bound trip could be a challenge. Still I like the idea. If you ever happen to be in the Valley in the future, let me know. Slainte 🍺
 
It was a nice weekend weather wise. Got out and played some golf. Anybody do anything fun?
