USS Dark Fire (IC)

◅ ALFREDO ARAIZA ▻

“And I just feel like Haz didn’t have to be so rude, you know?”

“What took him so long?”

Araiza’s colleagues, while typically in ship shape and professional, still made space to mess around with their budding coworker. When he had first begun his sabbatical, they were eager to speak and find out what had happened. Now that he only hung around out of lack of entertainment during their busy hours, they were less than pleased.

The other man didn’t let the lieutenant articulate his distaste. “Look, you need something to do? We’re a few men down and need to do inventory. No one’s punishing anyone for logging some numbers.”

Good enough.

He was in search of a box of stray pipes when he noticed Kavela. He would’ve asked how she had gotten into the area, but his curiosity about the fractions sprawled before her got a better grip.

In his nature, he wasted no time. “Are you trying to make some art or something? This amount of copper won’t even make a lightbulb turn on.”

He gave her a confused look. “What the hell are you even trying to build?”

Stardate 29870607.1010

“Seriously?” Yito asked straightening up as her tricorder buffered the second ships computer. “Where?”

“We aren’t stealing anything, not really, just making copies without permission.” She added looking around, as she filtered through several augmented forms of vision. And increased the gain of her acoustic regulation systems.

Glancing down at her tricorder to conceal her assessment she looked over at Xiana. “I believe you may be correct. There are two groups of individuals stationed just outside of view.” she said gesturing to two separate entry points to the docking bays. “This will only take another minute, then we’ll continue on to the Captain.”

***

Rotating the stool she sat on Kavela looked at him as her left eyebrow rose slightly. “It’s not art.” She replied before turning back to the partially assembled device. “I’m constructing a multi-phasic plasma rifle in the 40 tera-quad range. With an integrated Optronics Relay that will automatically calculate and re-modulate for personal shielding.”

“Victory!” Hora exclaimed, her voice filled with triumph as the clerk disappeared into the back to retrieve the star charts she’d requested. She turned to Boohaul, eyes gleaming. “Okay, maybe it’s not as thrilling as blasting hostile ships with phasers—but defeating the bureaucratic labyrinth of this government? That’s a win I’ll take.”

Despite the red tape and resistance, Hora felt a surge of pride. She and Boohaul had navigated the system’s maddening protocols with grit and persistence. Technically, the clerk had still rejected her formal application—citing a mandatory “30-day hold” for newly registered species in the Xenobiology database. But Boohaul, ever resourceful, had sidestepped the delay and simply purchased the charts outright.

Moments later, the clerk returned, holding a slim data disk. Hora snatched it with a grin. “Thank you… and goodbye,” she said, her tone equal parts polite and victorious.

She and Boohaul stepped back into the corridor and headed outside to meet up with the rest of the away team. She knew they'd all be drunk in the bar with nothing and she had charts, money, and a worm!

◅ XIANA MARLOWE ▻

Casually retrieving information illegally from private sources. Completely harmless. Xiana pushed hair out of her face, her forehead feeling hot with angst. The confirmation that there were others close only enhanced her nerves.

“One minute,” Xiana replied sternly. She wasn’t afraid to admit that she was nervous, the specks of silhouettes growing more consecutive. “We can’t help the Captain if we’re compromised, or worse. I don’t want them to get closer.”

◅ ALFREDO ARAIZA ▻

The male looked at Kavela, then back to the scraps, then back to the woman, then back to the parts once more. “….Are you sure that’s what you’re making?”

He gave a quick look to the nearby door before turning his back to it, focused on the person beside him. “Wait, no, hold on,” he began, perplexity and intrigue scribbled on his face. “Who sent you to make this? Who gave you permission?”

Stardate 29870607.1015

“Done,” Yito said as she closed the Tricorder and turned to Xiana. “Time to move, quickly I think.”

And she did just that. Not quite a fast walk, but not a leisurely stroll either. More of a walk with a destination in mind. Taking an exit not occupied by the watchers she told Xiana, “As soon as we get around the corner.. run.”

***

“Quite sure,” Kavela replied calmly as she started soldering plasma relays. “I can’t tell you who sent me. Or who gave me permission. But then I wouldn’t be doing this if the person who should be doing it wasn’t barred from being here.”

Looking up at him from the stool she asked, “Why are you here exactly? It’s my understanding you’re on leave for several more days.”

◅ XIANA MARLOWE ▻

Xiana was relieved that the ensign was done sooner rather than later, but she doubted her heart rate would be at peace anytime soon. The instruction to run wasn’t helpful.

“Run… as in general?” she asked, forcing herself to grip her phaser tightly. She wouldn’t let her agitation put the two of them at risk. At least, she would do her best against it.

“We can’t run back to the others. We could be leading these… people back to them and putting their safety at risk,” she said as they neared the aforementioned corner. Granted, they could also be helpful if they were in danger. Perhaps they could also be less inclined to attack in a place full of people. She despises the endless possibilities.

◅ ALFREDO ARAIZA ▻

“I feel like you can. You’re just choosing not to. Which is fine, I guess; your call. But as the person who’s supposed to be doing all that, I’d at least recommend putting on some gloves to keep people in the hallway from asking if someone threw a Vulcan on the grill,” he said, arms crossed.

He wanted to know. He was dying to know. He hadn’t considered another downfall of his time off—his love for business that wasn’t his wasn’t fulfilled.

“Offered to help keep up with inventory.” It was a nicer explanation than being assigned duties to stop pestering his coworkers. “Beats staying in bed.”

He inched down and took the bottoms of the stool, his hands just a few inches from the outside of the woman’s thighs. Gripping both ends—and making sure she didn’t hold onto something delicate as he did—he spun her in his direction, crouching towards her. Araiza kept his palms on the seat, his face six inches from her own, his arms tightening with the strain of supporting himself up against the cushion.

“C’mon,” he insisted, his voice low, “what’s going on?” His eyes looked for answers in the woman's, his angled neck allowing for his scent to wander. He smelled earthy but spicy, like a combination of leather and cinnamon.

Stardate 29870607.1015

“To the Captain, she said she’d be in the Administration building. There may be a security force there to back us up. If we need it.” Yito replied. “We’ll pass through the market place which should give us a little breathing room from our uninvited followers.”

***

“Once she stopped moving Kavela looked at him. “Gloves would be cumbersome and would prevent the fine hand movements I need for some of the circuitry.”

“And your feelings in this matter, don’t matter, because you’re wrong. Just as you were in your quarters. Basing your actions on ‘feeling’ isn’t working for you.”

“As for what’s going on. This weapon is to fight the Silver Parasite, Borg, or any other life we find that wishes to do us great harm. Other than that, I can’t tell you. Not that I would share secure information with anyone not approved for such information.”

Hora

Hora stepped into the noisey bar and was able to find the away team's table. She immediately struck by the sight before her: most of the away team gathered in deep conversation with a four-eyed, blue-skinned alien. To her surprise—and mild disappointment—they weren’t drunk, entangled in questionable activities, or fraternizing with exotic strangers.

“Well, this is a letdown,” she said, hands on hips, feigning exasperation. “Clearly I’ve failed in your training. When the Captain’s away, I expect chaos, debauchery, and at least one diplomatic incident!”

Her mock scolding drew a few chuckles. She knew full well that neither Commander nor Dr. L’Sa would ever allow things to spiral out of control.

“I’d like you all to meet my new friend, Boohaul,” Hora continued, gesturing to the worm alien beside her. “He helped me secure the funds, get us registered, acquired some star charts and even threw in some lessons in love.”

She turned her attention to the blue alien seated at the table. “And who’s your charming companion?”

“Humill,” the alien replied with a nod. “I’m a local trader. Just here to make a few honest deals.”

◅ XIANA MARLOWE ▻

May it be worth it. Allowing the ensign to take the lead, she began to sprint as soon as they encountered the area.

Tempted to look back, Xiana kept her eyes glued to the person a few steps ahead of her. She had gratitude for all those years she had spent developing speed and stamina—it was proving helpful and, strangely, abreactive.

“Ensign! Are we being followed still?!”

◅ ALFREDO ARAIZA ▻

He let out some air. “Gloves are a bare minimum unless you want to be discharged with a new disability,” he said, his tone more firm as he stood up, pushing off the stool. “They’re not all heavy.”

Reaching to a nearby box, he located two pairs and handed one to Kavela. “It’s a little hypocritical to say feelings don’t matter as if your own feelings aren’t still making you linger on that. If you weren’t still disappointed about that night, you wouldn’t still bring it up.”

Araiza pulled over a stool for himself, setting it close to the woman as he took a seat. “No one should stop by anytime soon, so the question continues to be how I can make it up to you. You clearly need some guidance. I technically can’t build it for you, but maybe I can provide some assistance.”

Although he was in her proximity, the man didn’t dare to touch her. “Now, I can help you however you need me to, thoroughly, or I can leave. Just say the word.”

Stardate 29870607.1020

“Mr. Humill and I have agreed on items to be traded, now we’re attempting to negotiate price. And the amount he’s requesting is beyon my level to authorize.” Commander Reeves said glancing at her.

“He will provide Astrological maps, Species information, and a language database. As he hasn’t explained the extent of his information his requirement of half a million Diamonds – depending on quality – seems a bit high to me. But I don’t know the exchange rate in this economy.”

“I’m hoping you were able to determine an appropriate exchange rate.”

***

Ducking into a doorway Yito pulled out her tricorder and scanned the region. “Doesn’t look like it. I’m not detecting anyone moving at a high rate of speed. Or the Bio-signatures of the individuals that had been following us.”

After a couple more taps she looked at Xiana. “The Captain is on the move. She’s moving at a slow rate so she’s not being chased. She appears to be moving back to the group.”

***

“As I said, feelings – in this matter – don’t matter. Emotions concerning your quarters are a separate instance and circumstance.”

“You wish to make it up to me? Fine. Explain your reasoning for doing what you did. Other than you like me and/or respect me. And a bottle of real Romulan Brandy, not the synthehol or replicated stuff.” Kavela requested.

“As for this weapon, trying to explain what I‘m doing at each step would require a great deal more time in its construction.”

“You may observe and interject in its construction only if you feel I’m doing something wrong that would cause a failure of the device.”

◅ XIANA MARLOWE ▻

Her breathing steady, she internally relished the fact that the exercise had helped her release her tension. Shamefully, it was all she needed to get her head straight. Despite her air being stable, she let out a loud sigh at the news of their deserting and the captain. “Good. I really appreciate how helpful you’ve been, truly. Once we return, if you could help me operate that translator to obtain some water, my appreciation will double.”

Now calm, the return to the venue felt much faster than the travel to the docks. She was delighted to see everybody in one piece… and rather astounded at the interesting creature accompanying the captain.

Xiana didn’t let it show. She walked with Yito back to the crew. “Captain, I’m happy to see you’re okay. I believe the Ensign deserves one or two drinks of recognition. She did excellent work in our short adventure. It went smoothly because of her.”

◅ ALFREDO ARAIZA ▻

“We get it; you’re from Vulcan.”

Araiza chuckled sarcastically, pulling back and sitting up straight. “Man, what is it about me that people don’t believe me when I say the truth the first time? I’m getting a little tired of people trying to dig into me.”

“It’s not my MO to bring alcohol around gadgets, but yeah, I’ll watch your work.” As he slid gloves on regardless, he considered a proper reply. What was he supposed to say? He had already felt quite vulnerable the first time he had explained himself, which he regretted immediately when he saw it didn’t fix anything.

He silently watched the woman work, half his focus on a comment here and there suggesting adjustments, the other half trying to whip up an answer that sufficed.

His head starting to feel tight, he began to do what he could do best when among those of his level: talk without a filter. He kept his sight exclusively on the instruments. “My wife died some time ago, and I kinda really got caught up with fucking around. I mean, I wouldn’t call myself a whore or anything.” But others would. Given a chance from the doctor and a better mood with the captain he would’ve already expanded his roster. Hell, if the commander had been into it he would’ve gone for it.

“I think the idea of getting to that level of sex with someone I’d at least want to try to get to know outside something casual feels a bit… strange. I’m not used to it. Not anymore, anyway.”

“I don’t like talking about that stuff. Not even with my shrink. Just know that when I say something I mean it. It’s not you, even if that sounds like a cliché.”

Hora
As a captain, reading people and situations was supposed to be second nature. Hora believed she excelled at it—truthfully, she sucked at it. Still, she trusted her instincts, and as each person spoke, she made her assessments.

Humill, the blue-skinned alien trader, was clearly trying to fleece them. No reputable merchant ever opened negotiations by proclaiming their honesty. That was the first red flag. Traders were driven by profit, not virtue. Hora caught the subtle exchange—a flicker in Commander Reeves’ expression, a carefully chosen phrase: “Price determination is beyond my authority.” That sealed it. Humill was playing games.

“Boohaul,” Hora said, turning to her worm-like companion, “please negotiate with Humill and settle on a fair price for whatever it is he’s offering.”

Boohaul slithered forward, his voice low and deliberate as he began the negotiation with Humill.

Then came Dr. Marlowe and Ensign Yito.

“Captain,” Marlowe said warmly, “I’m happy to see you’re okay. I believe the Ensign deserves one or two drinks of recognition. She did excellent work in our short adventure. It went smoothly because of her.”

Hora blinked. Happy to see you’re okay? That was...odd. Had she been in danger? But the rest was clear enough. Drinks for the Ensign. Recognition. This wasn’t just professional praise—it was a nudge. Marlowe was encouraging Hora to ask Yito out. And Hora was absolutely dying to do just that.

And the mention of an “adventure”? That was music to her ears. They’d stirred up chaos, indulged in debauchery, and triggered a minor diplomatic incident. Glorious. Hora couldn’t have been prouder.

“I couldn’t agree more, Doctor,” Hora said, flashing a grin. Then, with a voice dipped in playful seduction, she turned to Yito. “Ensign, I’d love to buy you a few drinks.”

Finally, she turned to Commander Reeves, who she knew would disapprove of fraternization between ranks. She gave him a wicked smirk.

“Just following the Doctor’s orders.”

◅ XIANA MARLOWE ▻

The counselor pinched the bridge of her nose. Back to normal, she supposed. “The Doctor was implying amicable, platonic drinks between comrades, nothing else.”

Of course, if Yito decided to be intimate with the captain, that was at her discretion. Xiana’s dry mouth was the business she wished to attend to. “Now, if you’ll excuse me…” she closed, retrieving the translator for herself in one smooth movement and parting the crew on her way to the bar.

It took a bit of effort to familiarize herself with the machine, but she was merry to have been able to ask for some water. Thinking about how universal it seemed to be, she watched a nearby patron holding the same drink take a sip before she did the same.

Downing the liquid, pleased that it was, indeed, water, she leaned against the bar, sliding the glass from hand to hand, contemplative. In the moment, the adrenaline was awful. The way she glowed in the aftermath? It was something she hadn’t felt in a while.

“I’m not a Vulcan, though my ancestors were,” Kavela said as she continued working on the device. “I’m from Romulas.” With a sigh she faced him, and lifted the hair from her forehead. Underneath were two pairs of brow ridges in a chevron formation with the lowest point between her eyebrows above her nose. “I’m Romulan.”

“Getting to know a person further, after having sex, is not without possibility. Though when we first spoke you made it clear that you were not looking for a relationship.”

“I’m sorry you had to deal with that loss and pain.”

***

Looking back and forth between the Counselor and the Captain, Yito waited for a moment to speak. “I’m sorry Captain, I don’t drink alcohol except during a diplomatic situation. Especially a superior officer.”

“I am however willing to accept a non-alcoholic drink.”

***

Walking through the doorway were four identically white armored individuals. Some looked in their direction, some didn’t. But everyone knew they were there. Some even slid past them to get outside, quickly as a couple others went out the back door.

The armored individuals moved through the crowd to the bar and spoke with the bartender.

◅ XIANA MARLOWE ▻

Had one person porting white been the sole patreon to enter, Xiana wouldn’t have paid much mind. It was the quartet that made alarms go off in her head. Her clothes helped her blend in with the others, but her gut was suggesting that, in confrontation, they might not be enough.

Shuffling in between others, she located her group yet again. “I could easily be overthinking this, but we should go. Now,” Xiana explained, just loud enough for them to hear. Her head motioned in the direction of the individuals. “Enough people are leaving. We could blend right in.”

Historically speaking, those in replicated vestments whom the public abstained from weren’t the best to approach… much less if they were strangers. Much, much less if they had illegal activities under their belt a few hours into their arrival.

◅ ALFREDO ARAIZA ▻

Huh. “My bad. Didn’t notice. You know, bangs and all.”

“I know what I said, which kind of drives the point home on why I reacted like that,” he continued, peering once more at the project.

“It’s not like you caused it. You don't have to apologize. Besides, everyone feels pain or has bad shit happen to them. I guess that was the version I got.” Perhaps, if he downplayed it enough, he wouldn’t have to submerge himself too much in the hurt.

Growing concerned, he stood up and nudged the bottom of Kavela’s stool with his left heel, making her slide over while he took her place.

He lifted the weapon under development, eyed it carefully, then lowered it back onto the table, expertly taking it apart. “These relays look off. I’m not gonna have a demo turn into a fireworks show. You gotta get replacements and start over.”

Hora

Hora rolled her eyes at Dr. Marlowe’s clarification. Honestly, did she not understand the importance of the first date? It wasn’t about protocols or sobriety—it was about peeling back layers. Alcohol helped. Without it, getting Yito to open up would be like prying open a starship hull with a spoon. And when Hora said “open up,” she meant both the deep, guarded secrets… and yes, her legs.

“Crystal clear, Dr. Marlowe,” Hora said with a tone that suggested anything but. She pivoted smoothly to Yito, flashing a smile that was flirtatous. “Thanks for the assist. Now, what can I tempt you with? Water? A grape Knee High? Or maybe a marshmallow on a stick? I hear Vulcans have a soft spot for sugar and fire.”

Meanwhile

Lieutenant McLeo kept his gaze locked on the armored figures across the room. Something about them didn’t sit right, and McLeo trusted his instincts more than any scanner.

Stardate 29870607.1030

Glancing at the Counselor, Reeves noticed her head gesture and looked over at the four white armored individuals. Their posture and walking pattern indicated they weren’t police. They were soldiers.

The individual they were negotiating with looked in the same direction. “Imperial Guard. They don’t have official authority yet. But that doesn’t stop them. And if they’re here they have a ship in orbit. And a lot more troops.”

“Do we have a deal on the price?” Reeves asked looking at Boohaul.

Reeves didn’t want a gun fight, but if they started, he’d finish it.

Shifting her hand Yito scanned the new arrivals. A new species. Bipedal, two armed, Single cranial capacity, and the weapons were energy based, but not something they’d experienced before. But the DNA structure was unusual and complex.

“Water would be fine Captain, But I have a feeling we’ll be waiting until we get back to the ship.

***

Pulling up the schematics Kavela showed them to Araiza. “Tap the keyboard every three minutes or the file gets locked again. And it’s more irritating to unlock it then tapping a keyboard.”

Sliding out of his way she scowled. The weapon was classified and she didn’t want him working on it, but he was going to be better than her. Probably faster as well.

◅ XIANA MARLOWE ▻

She shouldn’t have expected everybody to leave the location the minute she suggested doing so, but how marvelous would it have been if they did? Xiana could handle an escape without an issue. She was still working on armed conflict. The idea of stepping out on her own was more seductive than she could admit to herself.

“How much time can we afford to keep negotiating for an uncertified product if we can easily get attacked any moment now?” the counselor whisper-shouted. “Could we not at least relocate? Innocents here could get caught in the crossfire!”

◅ ALFREDO ARAIZA ▻

“Cool. New toys,” he chirped, humming to himself as he looked over the graphic. It did appear to be a very advanced model. It would’ve been fun to have built, but more doubts lingered the more the figure engrained into his brain.

Araiza looked over his shoulder. “Who exactly instructed you to make this? And why now? Why’d they risk it with you instead of waiting a few days for me or my replacement?”

Stardate 29870607.1030

“I can’t tell you that. At least not in the current situation. As for why now.. necessity.” Kavela replied calmly without explaining anything. “If you can’t do this without answers, it’s best you cease what you’re doing and leave. Also you’re ordered not to discuss this device. Ever. To or with, anyone.”

***

“Relocation is agreeable,” Commander Reeves replied, nodding to the Counselor.

Dr. L’Sa slid her seat back, ready to, and if required, break arms in painful locations.

Entertained, he crossed his arms and gave her a low laugh. “Ordered by who? I don’t particularly care that I’m on suspension, I think preventing at least one internal fire on the ship might deserve knowing who’s even asking for this. Unless you took it upon yourself?”

He wasn’t a snitch. He could try talking to his leads to see what was going on or at least try to get an answer, but he didn’t intend to get the woman in trouble. Unless, of course, she secretly planned on destroying everyone on board or something grand. She didn’t seem the type, though. “If I was supposed to build this, then I was gonna find out who ordered it anyway. Now tell me.”

BooHaul

With a wiggle, Boohaul extended a mouth tentacle, clutching a wad of imperial credits, and passed it to Humill. The blue trader didn’t bother counting—he simply handedd the disc containing the data Boohaul.

“Pleasure doing business with you,” Boohaul said, his voice a wet rasp. Humill quickly departed. Boohaul glanced toward Commander Reeves and gave a subtle nod—the deal was sealed.

Hora

“These armored meatheads are tanking my first-date odds,” Hora muttered under her breath, her eyes narrowing at the figures across the room. She turned to the others at the table, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “If you want to be prey—like a rabbit—run. Hunters love that. Let’s leave like disinterested lions who couldn’t care less.”

Then, louder and with deliberate nonchalance, she announced, “Alright, I’ll meet you all back at the ship. Boohaul, you’re with me.”

She strode toward the armored figures, her posture relaxed but her eyes sharp. Passing them without a glance, she approached the bar and addressed the four-armed amphibian bartender. “I’ll take some of that blue stuff, to go.”

Boohaul leaned in and translated, ensuring she got exactly what she wanted. The bartender nodded and began mixing.

Lt. Mcleo

Following the captain’s lead, Lieutenant Mcleo exited the bar with a confident stride, his feline tail swaying rhythmically behind him. The crowd parted instinctively, sensing the cat was on the prowl!

◅ XIANA MARLOWE ▻

Xiana rubbed her temples. Wildlife analogies or approaches didn’t seem too reasonable when their life could easily be on the line. Her heart raced when she saw the two practically offer themselves to the people who could easily complicate their mission.

It put her in a displeased position. She could either head out on her own and have an actual chance to be alright if something troubling broke out but it would make her look like she didn’t have regards for the group, or she could play along with an ego trip that, to her, seemed like the one thing they should be avoiding.

Her internal conflict was evident. She turned to the commander. “For the record, though I hope to be proven wrong because I don’t want anybody to get hurt or caught in the middle of an impending disaster, I think bringing attention to us is a stupid idea.”

Stardate 29870607.1035

Kavela:

“This is not a project I chose to build myself. No you wouldn’t have found out who ordered it. That’s classified. As for a fire, I would have tested it in a secure location. Possibly outside the ship.”

Commander Reeves:

“We’ll wait here and drink, if anyone asks, you’re all my wives.”

Ensign Yito:

Dumping everything to the ship, Yito shut off the tricorder just in case they could detect the scanning frequency of the device.

Imperial Guard:

One of the troopers turned and stared at Hora, but where it’s eyes were directed behind the Visor was unknown. It could have been staring at her tits, or her eyes. “What species are you? I don’t recognize it, nor can my HUD.”

The other three troopers moved through the now fairly empty establishment. Hands on weapons they looked more ready to soot someone than to leave everyone in peace.

Walking in through the doorway, another figure walked in. Although this one had amour it looked nothing like the othher four. And te new one stayed att he door, scanning the room slowly with only it’s head moving as a holo-display was projected on a small device in it’s hand.

One of the patrons took off running for the back door, instantly pulling everyone’s attention. The new one took off in chase after the runner. As the four ignored everything else and moved towards the runner and the chaser.

Taking the opportunity Reeves stood and gestured for everyone to follow him as he slipped his arms into The Counselor and the Doctor’s arms with Yito following.

◅ XIANA MARLOWE ▻

Desperate times called for lying. She wouldn’t argue a method that could make their escape easier. “My ring better be gorgeous.”

She didn’t hesitate to follow on their treck to the outside. Stealing a few glances before they emerged, she attempted to make a figure out of the new patreon’s projection. “Who or what exactly are they looking for?” she asked quietly.

◅ ALFREDO ARAIZA ▻

His curiosity was starting to evolve into concern. He looked at the woman sternly, almost as if he believed he could stare at her long enough to get the truth out. “Of course I would know. There’s always some kind of indication of who I’m making weapons for. Otherwise, I’d have to report it.”

“And yeah, you could test it elsewhere, but risk your wellbeing in the process, and the fact that you’re not going through our usual system kinda solidifies that either whoever requested it wouldn’t have gotten it approved for whatever purpose it’s for or it already got rejected and they think they can sneak it past,” he lowered his arms, “or is it something else?”

Hora

Hora was going to explain that her species was recent added to the database, but then the armored figures ran off after some other person.

“This is embarrassing, I have never had so many males run away from me before! If the Orion Sex Slave Oversight Council hears about this I’ll be expelled!” Hora grumbled.

Then she remembered what Commander Reeves had said, “OH!” She squealed in joy. And ran as fast as she could to catch up to him. She found him on his way back to the ship and quickly slipped in next to Dr Marlowe.

“Why Commander, you almost forgot your favorite wife, luckily I’m a fast runner.” Hora said to tease the human. “Now both Yito and I feel you have been slacking on your husband duties… We desire some alone time with you, when we get back to the ship” Hora was joking of course, but she did enjoy watching the Commander come up with a reply.
