How do you add your location under your user name? I've noticed some have it and some don't and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it.

Go to your user profile, Options

I tried that.
When I click on "Edit Profile" under Settings & Options it takes me to the same page as "Edit Email & Password" does.

Did you click on the link in my post? It should take you to your own Author's Page control panel, where it's just "Save Changes" - if you're using the Beta format.

I did try using your link. It takes me to a login page where I enter my lit credentials, enter the Captcha, click on login now and my password disappears and another Captcha pops up. The cycle never stops. Is this login different than just logging into lit?

Where I enter my information and the code. After I hit "login now" it goes back to the image above.
I've logged out of Lit, tried it again without any luck, and then was able to log back in on the main page without any issues.

There is a disconnect between your forum side profile (which doesn't work) and your Author side, which does. Try going in this way:

Lit Home Page
Stories and Pics - that should get you (if you're in Beta) to the new Lit front page (again)
Click top right on your avatar (and if you don't have an avatar, I guess it's a circle)
That should give you a drop-down menu
Click on Options, and you should be on the right page.

First off, thank you for taking the time to give me assistance.
Second, how do I find out if I'm "in Beta"? Because when I go to stories and pics I don't seem to be logged in and when I try I get caught in the captcha loop of hell.

One other thing...When I try and login I get stuck in the loop of hell but if I try and register it says my name is already taken. BUT, I can login just fine from going to the Bulletin Board and logging in from there.

Try purging your browser history and cache, then try logging in through the pages I've stated below. If that fails, PM Laurel (top right of page)

I've cleared my history and cache. No help. I couldn't find Laurel at the top right of the page (honestly - nothing seems to be right...) but was able to do a search and found her. I'm going to send her a PM.

I do remember seeing something about that you need to have a certain amount of replies on the forums before you are able to adjust your location and other profile settings.

I went to try to change my profile tonight, and clicked on Edit Profile and it keeps taking me to change password, which is the menu item above it. And if I click on Change Password, I get change password.

I guess I am going to be perpetually forty something!

Forum profiles bust about four years ago and don't seem to be on any fix list. If you joined after that, you won't have a location or profile no matter how many posts you make.

Put it in your .sig instead.
