Use of the Non-Erotic section

Question with regards to the Non-Erotic section

Is there any down side or issues with posting a novel in sections there? The Novel doesn't contain any sexual material, however is still something I would consider quite adult, and heavy in places. I know it kinda defeats the purpose of lit, posting non-erotic material here, but its not all I would post.

There's a section called Non-Erotic. You could post it in chapters there.

Go ahead! Don't expect a massive viewership in the Non-Erotic category, but there is a market and there will be individuals who enjoy your work. Especially if you post other things too, that way readers who really like your erotic work can check out your novel too. If you're interested, there are lots of threads on this forum in regards to whether or not you should post in chapters or as one large submission.

Yes, wasn't expecting the world. Ive been on here a few months now helping a friend out and finally starting to find my own feet. Have just found the way Lit operates a lot better then a few other sites.

‘Non-Erotic’ can be written quite broadly, which is to say that one can do some very sexy writing without actual sex. Good luck!

One of my Literotica accounts posts only in the nonerotic section (which is why I have a separate account for that). The stories there do quite well.

Yes, partially that is a result of the limited number of categories on Lit. I've sometimes put stories or chapters where sex is discussed among the characters but not depicted in that category. Erotic Coupling, etc., just doesn't fit. Also, Romance readers don't like break-up stories much so sometimes they ask that such tales go into Non-erotic.
