Now why in the hell would the US Department of Agriculture collaborate with the Mexican government to produce, and show, television commercials explaining how to apply for food stamps to Mexican citizens?

That's right, the commercials are shown in Mexico not the United States.

Why would the US produce commercials showing non-American citizens, anywhere in the world, how to apply for food stamps?

Well, word of mouth travels over the border. It's called Hispandering.

No links are needed. Simply search "USAD and Mexcian food stamps" on the web.

There are many results!

Libertarians will NEVER EVER get the Hispanic vote if they do not open the borders and promise them citizenship and free stuff!

WTF is wrong with you social retards?

And remember! It was a Bush/Reagan/Heritage/Republican idea!

Don't blame Democrats for adopting the failed policies of the past!!!

;) ;)

It's another poutrage!

If you paid taxes, you might not want to waste the money on educating Mexican citizens about how to apply for US food stamps.

Then again, what is another illegal alien to you?

They don't pay taxes either.

Is anyone surprised there are no USDA/Canadian food stamp commercials...

No. That's where we intend to get our cheap drugs from.

But it will have zero economic effect and besides, illegals are an economic plus!

They take jobs we do not want, spend money and pay taxes!

Plus all that money stays here with them.

That's why Chinamen need not apply.

They will send that money home.

;) ;) :D

More evidence that our country's values are ass backwards.

It truly has become Bizarro World.

For the same reason the US govt allows Mexicans working here to qualify for full US Social Security benefits after working 10 quarters. TEN. 2-1/2 years. Full benefits that will be mailed back to Mexico with no further verification by the US government.

How long does an American citizen have to work to qualify for US Social Security benefits? 40

But wait, you say! Most Mexican citizens working in the US are undocumented/illegals? While that may be true, the current administration is working toward (if it hasn't already happened) making the millions of illegals - legal. Once granted some kind of amnesty or legal standing, then ALL their work in the US -- legal or illegal -- will be counted toward those precious 10 quarters and full benefits. Then their children qualify for SSA benefits too. Being workers at the lower ends of the economic scale, and having to work such a short amount of time to qualify, they will take out of the system far more than they ever paid into it.

And the kicker is that the US government agreed to this by treaty, which under US law, gives Mexican citizens more certainty/right of them receiving these benefits. Actual American citizens do not have that same guarantee. They do not have the same assurances that they'll actually see their benefits.

Do you want to know why there's an issue with the Social Security fund solvency? Besides the politicians stealing from it for the General Fund, look at this treaty with Mexico. Be sure and compare the Mexican end of this "bargain" for Americans in Mexico (how many do you actually think THAT is?)
But hold your nose while you do it.

So you agree, it's fucking ridiculous to be showing commercials to Mexican citizens, in Mexico, how to apply for US food stamps?
