So let's be really clear. I want the US out of Syria. I want the US out of Afghanistan. I want the US out of South Korea. We have 34,800 servicemen in Germany. 40,000 in Japan. 4,000 in Guam. 6,000 in Kuwait. 8,000 in the UK. 12,000 in Italy. 200,000 soldiers deployed around the world in all and none of that is what I am talking about.

What I really want is a million mercenaries the US employs through Blackwater-like private armies to be unemployed.

You trained us and we rendered our services honorably.

The contract is over bubba. You only get the contract and the reserve duty of 8 years total, if you do more than 8 you're FOREVER free at the end of your contract. That's the exchange.

What's wrong with organizing and selling our services just like every other person who gets their skill set from the military?

I don't see you bitching about HVAC guys, MP's, Nurses or aircraft mechanics etc. out whoring their skills in the private sector for top dollar.

Otherwise what's it matter?

Why shouldn't some shipping company be able to hire a team of experienced security professionals to secure their ships from pirates?

Or just fulfill some important/rich persons or companies security needs?

Or whatever....as long as the IRS gets whatever cut they are owed who cares?

People know mercenaries from the movies. Always evil, always on the wrong side. Never just average Joe looking to make a living doing what he was trained to do.
If there were some way to do an honest polling of the public no doubt many would think they are all like Deadpool. Spec4 killers who hang out in a bar and take secret jobs from criminals. Never some guy on a 9 to 5 who gets direct deposit and company paid insurance.
