Recently I have been having more health issues. They've discovered nodules on my thyroid. i also just started with some pain that comes from my ribs area on the left side everytime I breath or strain too much. Its been like this for two days. Today i woke up with pain in my left arm too.

Not sure what to do.

Those symptoms?
I would go see the doctor ASAP!

(But off course we have a different health care system around here...)

I would go to the doctor immediately. Or at least call and describe your symptoms...see what they say. Chances are they will want you to be checked out right away.

As this pain lasted more than a few minutes, and it has spread, get thee to a doctor ASAP if not before.

I do understand that in the USA, access to health care can be troublesome and there is the costs. However, the costs can be astronomical if you don't get the pain checked out and it develops into something serious, whereas catching something in time would significantly reduce it in the long run. Consider it an investment in yourself :rose:

Good luck.

Are you a smoker? Nodules on your thyroid may be sign of cancer and the pain you are having could be caused because it is spreading. You said they've discovered the nodules so I'm assuming you've already went to the doctor. Please go back for chest x-rays or an MRI as soon as possible.

See a medic, yes.

Have you suffered any minor trauma to your left side recently? Bumps, bruises, strains -- even reaching too far, too fast, at the wrong angle, can strain torso and arm+shoulder muscles. Walking sideways into a door or post can cause rib pain. Almost-unnoticed minor trauma may cause inflammation and pain, and we may not even remember the impact or strain. I sprained a thumb a couple weeks ago -- and I have no idea how.

The thyroid nodules probably are not involved with your side pain. Your side pain probably derives from some minor trauma you didn't notice and don't recall. You probably have little to worry about, except a wonky thyroid definitely need tending. But, to be safe, see a medic.

call the doc.

I'm not sure where this idea came from that people in the US can't go to a doctor in a timely manner.
I have never had to wait longer than a day to schedule an appointment when I was sick and, if I'm willing to drive a little farther, will be seen the same day. The only appointments I need to schedule in advance are routine checks like annual physicals, eye exams, etc.

call your doctor

Like others have said, don't fuck around with this and try to "tough it out". Go to a Doc and get it checked out. NOW.

You might have the precursor to a heart attack or it might be nothing. But either way get it checked out.

Seriously, I can never understand why someone would come to a sex oriented web site to ask serious health related questions. The obvious answer is to see a doctor. Seriously. Don't screw around with things like this.
