Unexplained occurences

I looked and I couldn't find a thread on this type of topic and I wanted to see if anyone else out there has had any experiences like I have been having as of late. I am not looking to make this thread into a big deal, but I am sure there are a few out there that believe in something else being out there no matter what it might be.

We just bought a house about 2 months ago now and for the past 4 weeks we have been experiencing some pretty odd things. Footsteps, doors closing, loud noises etc. etc... She claims to have seen a small child run down our hallway a few times, I being somewhat skepticle have never seen anything in particular, but have heard strange noises.

We did some research on our house and it turns out a young boy was accidentally suffocated in the bedroom down the hallway from ours. There were no charges of murder, but according to the stories there were some questions that were never answered. So this news obviously has upped the creepy factor by a ton. It isn't paranormal activity creepy in that whatever it is, it doesn't mean us any hard (as of yet), but it is really hard to explain.

I asked my Mom about it and she said they had a ghost in their house growing up, but she never talked about it, because she said people would just think she is making it up or foolish. I am sure I am going to get flamed for this thread, but I was just wondering what people's thoughts were on the subject.

Have you experienced anything that couldn't be explained? No matter what it is, I would like to hear about it. There are some other occurences that have happened that I will be more then happy to share if I find out there are people on here that might be interested or have experiences to share themselves.

I absolutely have had many experiences in the same vein. I'm not going to make them public but yes, I know the feeling!

Unless you feel that the experience- energy- whatever- is malevolent, I wouldn't be concerned.

I think if you are an open minded kind of person you will experience this kind of thing in your lifetime....if not....it's hard to believe there isn't a logical explanation for it.

Thanks for making me feel like a bit less of a nutcase I don't expect people to give details. I was just wondering who else might have experienced things and if they felt like sharing cool. If not at least I know we are not alone Oh and I promise you two can hijack the thread all you want

Yup! Grew up from the age of 5 till 22 in a home like that and have only had a handful of experiences since then.

I am very analytical and logical and have and will always try to debunk weird stuff. Often times I did.

But I tell you, if I did not experience those things with my own senses, I would be skeptical.

All in all, "they" could be just going about their business and will do no harm... I know it is still unnerving. In my case, "they" were attention whores... not fun.

Yeah it is interesting because I tend to be a very logical person. Some of these occurences I cannot explain at all. Whatever it is doesn't seem to mean any harm. I don't go to bed scared or nervous or anything. I just wish I had a valid explanation for whatever is happening around here.

I have had a few people email me saying they have had premonitions about things that have ended up coming true. I asked my sister if she has had anything happen. She told me a story of driving down a road a while back. It was night. It was a 2 lane road and there wasn't much out there where she was.

Anyway a vehicle came up behind her pretty quickly. It kind of spooked her a bit. They kept flashing their lights at her, but being out in the middle of no where she wasn't stopping for anyone. She kept on going. She looked down to grab her cell phone to call her husband and when she looked back up the vehicle was gone.

There was no evidence of it ever being there. It was darker but not completely dark and she said she could see a ways back. There was no turn off or anything. It just kinda disappeared. Now she is very analytical and assumes that the car/truck pulled over and turned off it lights, but she said she only looked away for a few seconds.

Thanks again to all who have taken the time to email me their stories and what not. I have had a few people email me telling me that this thread is stupid and what not. That is fine. I am not sure what to believe on all of this and that is why i started it. To get others opinions, stories and ideas of what they might think is out there.

Yeah I think the topic is interesting in that I am not sure what to believe on the matter. I wish people wouldn't hesitate to post on here instead of pm'ing me, but I understand why they might not want to. Especially from some of the pm's I have received of people telling me I am an idiot for even bringing this on here...lol

You're an idiot? Well there will always be someone that doesn't like what you post, that's the way of this place. I for one think it is fascinating and I agree that it's a shame more isn't shared publically, I don't feel comfortable putting mine out there it's just a very personal thing

As for the idiot, it is more like, what a stupid thread. So maybe idiot is a bit harsh. I only received 3 pm's from people saying that. The others have been suprisingly nice. I am kinda shocked at how many people have had things happen or experienced things they cant really explain.

Thanks I appreciate it. It doesn't bother me. To each their own really. See that is what i mean. I realize now there is more then what i see going on. Not sure what that is. But after the past month or so, there is something going on in the house. Thanks for taking the time to post

I've got a building people swear is haunted. People claim to see someone walking around when there is nobody else there. The police have used the building for training in the past and some of them got so freaked out they went outside to sit in their cars. A bunch of them have told me it's the scariest building in the city. If we get an alarm overnight, they won't go in the building.

I've never seen nor heard anything at in the years I've been here. But way too many people claim to have seen things. Many years ago someone did fall down the elevator shaft and die, but almost nobody knows about that. It's not something I advertise. The other problem with that "story" is that the guy that died was young. Everyone keeps saying they see an old guy.

See I never heard anything until she told me about it. I tend to be a heavy sleeper so it takes an act from God to wake me up sometimes. I didn't start "hearing" things until after she did. So I don't know if it is because she put it in my head or what. What I can say is what I hear seems to be pretty realistic.

Ha you are an ass. I have NEVER been a blonde. Must be the thin air up here.

As for last night we both woke up to something, someone, or our imagination making it up, running down our hallway and then down the stairs (they are hardwood floor). First time we have both woken up from it at the same time. Nothing mean mind you. Just very creepy. Pretty restless night.

More has happened in the past few days. We heard music coming from our guest bedroom. Went in there and there was nothing that could play music in there. That creeped us out a bit. Also a door slammed downstairs and we were both upstairs. Just very odd stuff.

We had a door slam shut last night on us. Also the TV came on downstairs all of a sudden. Just keeps getting creepier and creepier. I still think there is a logical explanation for it. Just not sure what it is.

So my wife called me at 4am this morning freaking out. Apparently she woke up to have a man standing over her in a long black trench coat. She said she woke up to footsteps on our hardwood floors. I am down in San Antonio for a family funeral so I wasn;t there.

She said she heard the footsteps and thought maybe it was something else. She waited a bit and it finally stopped. She was trying to go back to sleep and all of a sudden felt something hit the side of the bed. She sat up and there was a man in a trenchcoat staring at her. She screamed put the covers over her and started crying. She then waited a minute pulled the covers back off of her and whatever she saw was gone.

We have had odd occurence quite a bit lately in this house. Like I have said numerous times I have never believed in ghosts or anything like that but these strange occurences are starting to make me feel differently.
