Unexplained occurences

Doesn't really fit as an offical "Unexplained Occurance"...

I find it amazing how many people I have pissed off by taking back my power by not jumping to step up
and enabling my sister to use me so she can live in her own special little world.
She got to meet the fire department while smudging her house when she set the house alarm off. She had turned off the phone,
her hubby refused to take the call on his cell then they called mine. I told the alarm company to go ahead & send the the Fire Department. :rolleyes:
 
Interesting topic. I have a few thoughts about this:

I think some people are more open to these experiences than others, but I also believe that we are taught from a very young age that things like this cannot possibly be true. Children are waay more receptive, but since they are children their tales are discounted as fancy. I have always been of the open-minded-but-not-receptive ilk until about 10 years ago, when my first wife passed away.

She had prophetic dreams. She always knew which dreams were prophetic by the quality of the dream, but the events prophesied varied in intensity. There was a dream she had once about 4 friends in a car accident several hundred miles away. She got every detail, including the time on the accident report. Then she had a recurring nightmare about her mother in an accident going end-over-end in flames. This lasted for about a year and a half. It stopped when her mom's car hit a patch of ice and slid into a ditch.

Our daughter has this streak in her, as well.

As far as my own experiences go? Well, there are some things that happened after her death which I will not go into here, but currently we live in a house where there are a lot of strange noises, and things get moved around a great deal. Things like this often can be explained away, but there are 5 in our household, and these things happen way too much to all of us to poo-poo.

I agree. Some people are open some are not, which is human nature.
The more open I've become since I got hurt, the more changes I deal with.
Some experiences I really don't appreciate fully & try to avoide if I can, while others fill me with wonder.

We just bought a house about 2 months ago now and for the past 4 weeks we have been experiencing some pretty odd things. Footsteps, doors closing, loud noises etc. etc... She claims to have seen a small child run down our hallway a few times, I being somewhat skepticle have never seen anything in particular, but have heard strange noises.

We did some research on our house and it turns out a young boy was accidentally suffocated in the bedroom down the hallway from ours. There were no charges of murder, but according to the stories there were some questions that were never answered. So this news obviously has upped the creepy factor by a ton. It isn't paranormal activity creepy in that whatever it is, it doesn't mean us any hard (as of yet), but it is really hard to explain.

I asked my Mom about it and she said they had a ghost in their house growing up, but she never talked about it, because she said people would just think she is making it up or foolish. I am sure I am going to get flamed for this thread, but I was just wondering what people's thoughts were on the subject.

Have you experienced anything that couldn't be explained? No matter what it is, I would like to hear about it. There are some other occurences that have happened that I will be more then happy to share if I find out there are people on here that might be interested or have experiences to share themselves.

By the way if there is a thread on this already I apologize as the search engine on here really is terrible :)

The house I use to live in, the previous tenants had a family member who killed himself in the home. After moving in and once settled, several things had begun to occur. Doors opening, and closing by themselves. Footsteps walking on the stairs, and throughout the house. Water turning on and off by itself. Objects would lift, and levitate in midair.Chest of drawers would open and close by themselves. Light bulbs would flicker and sometimes burst. Windows would shake and rattle violently. On various occasions, loud banging would occur throughout the home. Shadows would appear in several locations inside the home. The landlord had mentioned before, that a death had occurred there. I never gave it any thought at the time I moved in. After living there, and encountering all of this . I later on find out, every person who had lived in this home had the same experiences. Some persons had more, and some had less. I had never believed in the supernatural at all. But after this, it made me aware, that it does indeed, have an existence.

I have to tell you clear... I had a good laugh over that just last week.
They had to repaint the runway numbers here at the airport due to the shift.
It made the local news & OMG... people were freaking out cause it went against
all the things that made up their happy little world. :eek:

The some people having more or less experiences is awareness.
I find it amazing when things do happen & people refuse to admit they saw anything.
 
Was a long night last night. Our house alarm went off. No door or window had been opened. Then something ran down the hallway and slammed a door at about 4am. Fucking creepy dhit going in in the IHC household. Just don't know what to make of it.

Have you checked into having someoen come in to see if your house has 'spiritual activity'? aka Ghost Hunters

Just a thought.
 
I honestly keep feeling like I'm having De Ja Vu all the time. Like I'll wake up in the morning, and throughout the day, it's like i knew what was going to happen, but didnt really remember it...

I have never experienced anything like that. Although, I did wake up in the middle of the night and attacked a floor lamp that looked like a person in the dark........... I have questioned things that I saw or thought I saw that even though I can come up with a rational solution, I don't believe those are the solutions. I won't even mention being in the hospital the week and a half my mom was in there before she passed.

Oh Hell No!!! Those things only bring on more trouble!! We use to do that in my grandma's house all of the time (after my grandfather passed) and not long after that, weird things started happening............we threw the board away, but nothing was ever the same in that house. :eek:

Exactly my thought. I try to rationalize it all because it is much easier for me to accept. I make an excuse for it all even though I am really unsure.

I've been doing that too. Sometimes I feel like I've already done this before. I know what everyone is going to say and what will happen next. It freaked me out the first few times but now I'm getting used to it.
I'm a believer in the unexplained. Too much has happened to me over the years not to.

I'd move. If you hear a voice say "GET OUT!" Listen to it....lol....Not that she is an expert but a lady at work claims that "ghosts and the like" will never do harm to someone. She used to live in a place where she claims she would see a young girl there. Who, knows. I kind of believe things like that are possible but I think you have to witness something yourself.

Reminds me of the Eddie Murphy "Delirious" set.

Can't move we are locked in lol. I get it though. I never believed anything until it started happening here. Now I am less skeptical to say the very least.
