The most recent study by the Department of Energy shows solar energy employs 43% of all people in the power-generating industry in this country, more than those employed in the coal, oil and gas industries combined.

However, because this industry is growing more quickly than any other power industry, and because it employs more people, Trump has decided we can't have this clean energy source creating that many well-paying jobs. Look to see massive layoffs and job closings in the next year or two.

We can already see this happening in places like Wyoming who is attempting to penalize companies who use solar or wind sources to generate electricity for in-state residents. The penalty would be $10 per megawatt hour sold. This doesn't prevent those companies from selling outside the state, but one has to wonder if generating electricity through solar or wind is cheaper, why are Republicans in Wyoming trying to cost their residents more through higher electricity bills, not to mention continuing to pollute their wonderful land which tourists flock to see every year?

Huh? Don't "they" collect sales tax on the equipment so others can make electricity? They really want to tax wind and solar while other OLD energies get subsidized??
Nevermind adding costs to investments that were already made, and opening the door to taking more in the future.

Most of the cost of installing goes directly into American worker's pocket

So 20th century!

I think you're severely misunderstanding the meaning of "hiring freeze", if that's what you're talking about. Massive layoffs and job closures are kind of the opposite of that, and what company would do that unless they were experiencing severe losses in their bank accounts? And you think Trump doesn't want anyone to have clean energy because he's freezing hiring at government agencies? Really? Are you that dense?

Also, the last time I checked, the hiring freeze was only for government agencies, not public for-profit companies. How is a random "solar power company" a government agency?

If you aren't talking about the hiring freeze, then I take back my snark, but only if you specifically state (and link to) some other conspiracy theory.
