I was going though some paperwork and noticed that full time employment is now considered 27 hours a week? Sadly, I was at a clients office and it did not dawn on me to see if that was Uncle obama "new" policy or the company's...

As much as I wish 27 hour work week was true I know that's something way too inteligent for America to have passed without huge uproar.

well glad that I made you laugh.

so is full time now 27 hours, or if someone works 27 hours a week the company must pony up health insurance?

The best part was that your client had an office. I need some healthcare because my side hurts.

well then, take Uncle obama to court

I pay for my own healthcare insurance, so it's covered.

It's just the idea of you sitting in someone's office and trying to provide a service they will actually find valuable is so fucking funny. I may have to go watch some Three Stooges videos to come back down.

are you smoking the obama juice again?

It actually seems that 30 hours/week is what is considered full time according to the government....

(The 30 hours per week average reflects the statutory definition of full-time employee in § 4980H(c)(4) and is the definition of “full-time employee” as used in this notice.)

The company I work for is in a mad dash to get 1-2 people hired in my department, so they can chop my hours, because if I work 2 more weeks at 36 hrs per week, they'll have to classify me as 'FT', hence offer me benefits. At this point, I'm still considered 'Casual Part Time' LOL

Remember, Michigan is a right to work state, now, which means get back to work, right now.

That's outrageous! The Government needs to impose a 40-hour requirement for every full-time job in America. And we'll need lots of bureaucrats and agents to enforce it year-round.

How about that, Jen?
