While we're on the subject of funny names, vital news in my inbox this morning, in the London in Bits newsletter:

How is it pronounced? The late journalist Alexander Cockburn called himself "Coe-burn." I still don't envy what he must have endured while growing up.

Not to digress too much, but there is a Dick Street in Clifton, NJ (one of my former hometowns). I wonder if the real estate prices on that street are somewhat below the rest of the town.
