Major territorial dispute, just hissing- no violence. I have it all on tape from the moment she heard his first "meow."

She seems to have the attitude of "WHAT IS THIS CREATURE DOING IN MY HOUSE!"

And all the little fella wants to do is play.

He's learning to ignore her, but she watches his every fucking move. TOO MUCH! :D

Pics later when I have time.

Fairly typical initial reaction. They'll eventually declare truce.

However - female and male cats do not usually get along. They'll tolerate each other but the odds of them becoming best buddies aren't the greatest.

I have always found it useful to keep them in seperate rooms for a day or two giving them supervised visitation till they get used to the smells of one another and the idea of it...just me tho.

ahhh sibling rivalry, and they don't even know they are siblings yet.

Now, I gotta go pet my own kittys...

Toleration is good. :)

It will be fine. They need an adjustment period. Catnip always helps, too. :D

This did not happen to me. When I introduced Fred Bilbo was all curiosity. I was expecting fireworks. She'll adjust though. She's just spoiled. lmao.

Well, I imagine she will be quite protective the bed. She cuddles up with me every night.

Now, how in the hell am I supposed to arbitrate that issue. She'll always be special because she is who she is, but little 'Berto is gonna need some loving too!

And now, I need to start learning some phrases in Italian. All I can say is, "Bella 'Berto" and a wave-ah my handah as I say ita.

Glad to hear he arrived home. I hope you have a big bed cause I think they'll both wind up there eventually. Each will stake out their own spot, leaving you a tiny space on the edge.

I used to have a few Italian friends who taught me the language but the phrases I remember wouldn't be suitable for young ears.

Can't wait to see the pics.

Looking forward to the pair in those Kodak moments, Riff.

The joys of adopted sibling adjustments.
Penelope is the interloper as far as Charly is concerned.
She is dominant to the point to bully.
But I think the tables have turned.
They were in the backyard. Penny is learning the joys of being house trained and was demonstrating her grasp of the concept. Suddenly, Charly is on the scene, lifted his leg and marked her! I had never seen such a thing.

By the way, these are my dog children, miniature schnauzers. Charly is 7 years old, a pound puppy. He has been with me about 2 months. Penelope is a 12 week old pup. She's been with us for about 3 weeks.

Amelia is as nervous as a cat. (siss boom bah)....:p

I let the little fellow sleep with me. She was non-stop on his ass all night on the floor. A couple of times, he rolled over as if to say "All right, all right, you are the boss...."

She would not let up.

He's still in bed right now and Madame Queen is with me.

Kinda reminds me of my own childhood. My big brother beat the shit out of me constantly. I empathize with the little fella.

:)

*lol* Hierarchy? There's no question that the female in the feline world will be at the top of that heap.
