What part of LA was it? I was in a small town, and there was a lot of small town mentality.. of course.

Didn't enjoy it, was harrassed more than I've ever been in my life.

New Orleans and we went to a couple small towns. I love wherever I go. It's all inspiration to me and it's all beautiful.

*nod* Well, there really is a big difference between visiting somewhere and living there. I lived in DeRidder for 8 months and hated it. I disliked going to my job because of all the shit I had to put up with. I eventually quit and convinced my ex to move to Canada with me. She didn't leave the house much, so she didn't even experience what it was like to be in Canada..

SIMA, we are Thelma and Louise!!! Just I have been to the Grand Canyon so many times, I don't feel the need to see it or drive off it any time soon. :D

Nice to meet SIMA's friends. You seem like really nice people. :)

*edit*... Prepared for the humidity in Louisiana? What part? If doing Louisiana, would have to do San Antonio, TX, as well. :D

LMAO ... yes please AVOID driving off the canyon ... and I agree on stopping in San Tonio (thats how its pronounced) real friendly folk there

I have a friend used to live there. In SA. I loved it there when I visited her once.

I don't really know you that well either, however your trip sounds so interesting. I'd love to meet with you for lunch or something just to talk about the intersting lit folks you got to meet.:)

Your trip sounds really exiting, and I'm totally jeoulous. So if you're going to be in Lansing Michigan near the middle or the end of your trip, maybe we can work something out.

I know we'll be in Michigan for a bit and I'd love to meet you. I've seen your posts on Lit and you seem like such a sweetheart. I'd love to get together. I have a travel partner, so I hope thats okay if we could all get together :)

=======================

Veebs, when you see this, we should make a list of where we're going, who we're seeing, etc, just so we know, so we don't leave anyone out. Add your friends to the list too!! :rose:

Hey girlfriend!!! Missed your phone call. So sorry, had to run out. I have been to Lansing before and I am not sure how far it is from Ann Arbor. I know Ann Arbor is closer to the lake. We do need to make a list. I need to go to Sacramento, San Diego, Upstate NY (unless he is in New Mexico at the time, which I will have to get your butt skiing), NYC, Washington State, Houston, San Tonio ( :D Bruce, I remembered), Chicago, Florida

In no specific order. If we are in Houston and NYC and possibly Washington State, we have places to stay. Of course, if we want to go to NC, we can stay at our inland house. Say, I have camping gear... There are some gorgeous camp spots, along the way. Do you have a sleeping bag?

Hell, if we were going for longer, I have friends in Paris, Brussels, Dublin, London.

We have to figure this out.

Oh my God I'm so excited. *squealing* I've got a sleeping bag, and I love you :D

Lets see, my sister lives in Washington, my parents live in Chicago (but clearly we're not going to tell them we'll be there :p)

Oh. My. God. I want to leave today. :D
