You guys get the coolest programs!

We recently started carrying a show called "Sin Cities" here, which I heard has already been broadcast in the UK for quite some time. For any who have not yet seen it, I highly recommend it!

I can't help but wonder if the host (Grub Smith) is as popular there as I imagine him to be.

My best friend just returned from England a while back and said that the commercials were also quite shocking compared to what we are used to. She claims she even saw one with full frontal!

Watch Coupling (the proper English version rather than the American cover). Then you'll see just how good English television is.

Absolutely Fabulous is my fav UK show, if they still run it....along with French and Saunders.

Much appreciated! I am already trying to convince the local theatures to reserve seating for me and my friends for the newest Bridget Jones! (It comes out a few days prior to my birthday, so I like to pretend Colin arranged it that way on purpose, just for me.)

I think my personal fav is still Fawlty Towers.

It's been done. It folded after 3 episodes because the American actors failed miserably. Can't be done by Americans.

Helene, the P&P set is worth owning or renting. I had it in video then got it in DVD. It's all round brilliant, not just for Firth (though I too adore him as Darcy). And Earl's right about Coupling, brilliant comedy cos it's so true to life (i.e., men and women stuff).

The only reason I am hesitant in the least about purchasing P&P is because I know nothing about it, aside from my recollection of how intimidating all those pages looked in high school, and how the kids in the older grades groaned when they were forced to read it. I understand the movie too is quite lengthy, and wonder if it might be a bit much given my short attention span. Firth has yet to dissapoint me, though!

I adored his portrayal of Valmont in the older 'Dangerous Liasons' remake.

Anyone else still watch 'Are you being Served?'

There are some comedies I could name that would have you in stitches. RED DWARF for one, I mean who could forget the despair squid. lol

Off the top of my head: PORRIDGE, a classical in every sense of the word.

FAWLTY TOWERS, if that one doesn't split your sides, you're dead.

BLACK ADDER, series one to six absolutely brilliant.

There are so many more, but those are the cream in my opinion.

If "Red Dwarf" is the one I'm thinking, I rather preffer his Mr. Bean character for some reason.

Have never really been able to get into the 'Black Adder ' craze.

I'm suddenly reminded of a movie that I enjoyed some time ago. I don't think it ever widely known, but it had me in stitches. Lock, Stock, and 2 Smokin' Barrels I think was the title.
